only useful if there's something to chat about.
If you buy Spore on Steam (which you can now) then you get this capability anyway. It really wouldn't change how fun the game is to play in the slightest though, as you're not playing while you're chatting. It's just a gimmick. |

Multiplayer for spore would be the next leap for EA and maxis.
Sometimes, playing with AIs gets a bit boring. Maybe a multiplayer spore game could be a seperate game with the latest havok engine running, This way spore could have better physics than the current engine used for spore. Here's some Ideas for Multiplayer for spore: 1. Map editor 2. Current editors that exist on spore today. |

because other players are really going to care about allying with creatures with no attack parts? or care about allying at all?
and strong creature players are never going to take opportunities to attack weaklings they know they can beat. it would work for about a weelalalalaill you get a decent number of people with lvl 5 everything creatures who aren't really going to care much for other players who've just started. |

While I don't agree that we should have multiplayer Spore, I thought that point would be pretty easy to solve (well, relative to all the other problems). Simply, make it so that allying and extincting other creatures have seperate benefits, and have many of those benefits help the other path to advance. For example, in Creature Stage you would be far more likely to unlock higher-level combat parts by allying other species than by wiping them out, and vice versa, making it more worthwile to follow both the aggressive and social routes than just go on a mad killing or befriending spree.
