They know you're just making empty threats as there's no way the average gamer could avoid EA without missing out on 9/10ths of the games they normally play (especially if you consider EA's constantly acquiring new gaming studios limiting the competition).

Your only chance is becoming a fringe gamer, but that equals EA ignoring your ramblings because you're just one of ten geeks on a low-grade website.

Of course then there's still the option to download the game from pirate websites, but with most countries having legislation against that and the major companies trying to "crack down" on pirates by suing them for amounts about as unreasonable as what your average Zealot Space phase ally will demand for keeping peace ... your choice.

I don't know about that. I only really play strategy games and RPG's, so it's extremely easy for me to avoid most of the rubbish that EA squeezes out. I suspect many others are in much the same position.

What is wrong with this Spore?

Honestly, complaining without giving good reason is simply annoying. So either keep quiet or give us something that is worth reading.

Haha seriously there has been lists of reasons with the game produced in other threads.

Thats not including the lists of bugs in the game and issues with the anti pirate protection.

I agree.

I am also going to avoid EA in the future which will be rather easy as I have no interest in nearly all the games they sell.

Certainly, please see my amazon review:

Amazon.co.uk: Customer Reviews: Spore (Mac/PC DVD)

It's the second one down.

I would love to play to 2005 build. but the effort, cost and time implications needed to prepare this version for selling just for a few disgruntled fans would be pointless. that's not EA's moneygrabbing, its common sense

I have no problems with EA. sure they are extortionate to a degree of insanity, but I can easily rustle up £40 pounds every month. and hey, especially with the oncomming Rescession in the world economy, All Empires Crumble

i think it should be like the 2005 version too wanted to play the ocean stage and was realy disapointed when i finished the cell stage to find out that i had to go to the surface and then to find when i went for a swim to be eaten by a creature in the sea yet could not make a ocean creature.

its not right lol
