I dont really get what the problem is, it doesnt do anything to your PC and it cuts down on piracy. The majority of people who are gonna use their 5 installs are people wlalalalad, which I'm sure EA dont really want them to do. SecuROM ftw.

Im not too bothered about it, but i mean my comp is new and unstable at the moment so i might need to install again, so i mean it'd be better if you could uninstal it to get one of your activations back

I think you can if you contact EA and give them a reason why you need more activations. Then they MIGHT give you another.

they shouldn't limit the number of installations possible with a legally bought game. (if they remove that part, i'll be pro secuROM)

I hate the 3 activations its so annoying, my brother doesn't like it on his laptop and might unistall it, so if it doesn't add another activation to the disc that was a real waste

Down with SECUROM

EDIT- and LordOfThemAll the steam thing is used so you can play your games on another computer

Thanks for the information, I didn't realize exactly what Securom was. Time to do some research! The 3 activations restriction is unreal. EA thinks that it is preventing piracy by allowing only 3 installs for something we paid for? The economy here is hurting terribly and I chose to spend $54.18 on a product that I don't fully 'own'? It would be easier to pirate the game, it saves the hassle of the activations and the money could be put towards another cause. EA, you need to realize that you are indirectly promoting piracy by not allowing us to use the product that we have paid for. It's good to know that others are experiencing the same issues, let's voice our concerns.
