every single gliche in the whole entire game! games don't get that gliched by themselves! they either have bad programming, a virus planted in it or Ea as the publisher.

If there's one thing I don't like, is the complexity limits. I can't finish my creatures like I want them because of it, and when making my GA heroes there just isn't enough room for their objects. I still don't get how to put the Freedom cheat to work, and I hate it. Other than that, it's really cool!

i hate the fact THAT MY COMPUTER WILL NOT SUPPORT THE BEST GAME IN THE WORLD...! but about the game, i think it's all good. i don't like the instruction manual, it should have a section on what to do if your installation goes funny an' all.
would be nice to be able to change your creature more in the civilization stage, and the space stage is just a bit confusing, especially on first times...too much charge time on items in space stage. i can't make planets inhabitable coz i don't kno how 2 use the stuff and it DOESN'T TELL ME IN THE MANUAL!!! i hate the manual... >=(

I liked most of the game. Tribal is fun and all but it is a bit bland. My favorite stage is the space stage. I started off well. My 1st colonies frequently got invaded by these guys who loved spode. Now I can play the space stage easily, but, When your colonies reach a certain size your creature should be allowed to roam space whitout interferances. It would also be fun if you keeped the gaming feel but every now and then their should be a fun thing, like your colonie rewarding you for placing a colonie with maxium turrets... THAT WOULD BE COOOL!

Default there isent to much depth in some elements that should have it

i got the game recently and i baically got to space phase in no time at all. even on my medium and hard mode files.

i was happy to make it to the tribe stage but there really wasent much to it besides collecting food "woo hoo" music/kill i thought it would have been great to be able to grow ur tribes home much larger then a few stores possibly have a seemless transisition into civilization phase. basically it would have been nice to have the dirt and mud homes to be customized and lead into the civilization phase through different phases

stick mud
stone
brick
what is currently civilization stage

also for civilization phase it would be nice to build citys much larger and also be able to have revolts revolutions ect added. space phase is dull for me since i do not have the x pack so i will not complain since the x pack helps a great deal with that.

sounds logical except:

Sticks and mud
Stones
Brick
LAZORZ!

You can get revolts if you don't put in any entertainment, however it's just so instinctive and easy to prevent that no one falls into that trap!

I don't like how much memory it uses, how advanced your computer has to be, and all the glitches/bugs

I will agree there, it's hardly delivering cutting edge graphics for the requirements!

There's a thread specifically for that, why don't you go post there with a suggestion as how that would work.

If it's amazingly good it'll be the first one not to be torn apart in 3 seconds flat.

Spore won't work online, it's a competitive game: you advance at the expense of all other creatures/players, and competitive games do not make good MMOs (you want to establish a community, for that you need co-operative gameplay)

An old topic but still just as relevant, if not more relevant with time.

The DRM.

Three of my five activations are dead. According to EA I must have it installed on three different computers, of course we all know better than that. A OS crash here, an accident there and the next thing you know you are currently using one of your two remaining activations and are tip toeing around the game scared of losing another. The de-authorization tool isn't going to protect you from a random OS problem or just honest forgetfulness when doing a fresh format.

I'll honestly be surprised if I will still be able to play Spore a year from now, I am two mistakes away from my game disk turning into a paper weight; and I will not repurchase a game I already paid for.

It's stupid, EA knows it is stupid; which is why they didn't put it in The Sims 3. I would buy Spore AGAIN right now if there was a way of getting it with a SANE form of protection like on Steam, I'd also buy Mirrors Edge if it didn't use this ridiculous form of DRM. I gave Securom activation a chance, the games I have that use it are all slowly dying as their activations accidentally disappear one at a time, some of them never even got a de-authorization tool from the publisher.

No more, I am never going to buy a Securom activation game again. If Spore ever comes to Steam UK without any limited activation nonsense I'll repurchase the game there, if not then I am not going to touch any expansions for a game that will 'inevitably' die on me.

i would say , when you put a creature inside or under a building in the adventure creator it doesn't obey one part of it's programming unless you shoot at it, and then it would only just attack or run away. this gliche should definatley be in the next patch.

Ah, that's due to buildings blocking line of sight, which is in fact entirely intentional: It allows you to use buildings to hide behind in stealth missions.

Default Constructive criticism...future PLAUSIBLE ideas for spore

I really love Spore... it is like the ultimate game!

One of the main FIXABLE(I hope) problems I find with spore is that there is only one big bank with all my creations/maxis' creations/everything. I think the creating side of the game would run a lot more smoothly if it was possible to create extra folders for creations...or sub-folders inside the main 3. This would be even more useful once the existing sections start bulging...I want to be able to find certain groups of creations quickly and compare them easily, which is not easy if they are spread out throughout the entire 'creations' bank. I cannot do this at the moment, so if this is possible please tell me how, and if it is not, then please (this is aimed at YOU, MAXIS), it would be great if you could change this in a not-to-distant future patch.

I really hope someone from the company actually reads this forum - and if they do, I feel sorry for them, having to trawl through the endless 'text message' style comments on here!

The problem with Spore that bugs me most is how hard it is to get noticed without a famous name-however good your creations are, they likely won't be found in the first place. See this thread for more details: Spore

Default Spore and Securom

If, after installing this monstrosity, you are having problems playing other games and you are getting a message about emulation software conflicts,
go here: Securom Removal Tool

Uninstall Spore completely as it is the nasty little bugger that put it on your machine. Then run the removal tool and you will be able to play your other games again.

What do I dislike about Spore? It was the biggest waste of my hard-earned money I've ever spent. It has no objective, the graphics are absolutely HORRIBLE, and even though the little beasties are sort of cute, what exactly do you do in the game?

Added to that the fact that it, WITHOUT MY PERMISSION, put a program on my machine that screwed up my other programs and you've got the biggest bomb of a game since Age of Conan.

I'm also very unhappy with Sims3 and have removed that from my machine, also.

What is happening to you EA? You're really sucking lately.

It says in the online and the paper manuel what to do, and it also says it in the top left corner when in-game, and if you want better graphics, change it in the 'settings' panel.
(Why did you even buy the game if you don't know what the objective is in it?)

The thing I don't like? Well... I don't like the fact that after completing the tribal stage, you move to the civ stage far too quickly. A tribe can't just suddenly be able to get big mechanical vehicles & buildings, can it?

So I think there should be a sorta town or medieval stage, to make it more realistic.

Not much I don't like about Spore, except maybe about how linear it is (up till space stage anyways)

Something ells me you didn't know much about spore before you bought it , the fact it has little to no objective was one of it's main selling points, advertising it as a 'sandbox'. Also while the graphics maybe "cutesy" they aren't bad. And the point of the game is to create cool creatures and possibly guide them to galactic domination. Simple.
