That version wouldn't be possible. Not at the moment. It wasnothing buck a mock-up, used for the presentation. In fact, they didn't even work on it that much.

the only think i hate about spore is the stuff they took out like in creature where u can drag and eat the other creature and the water stage it would be perfect if the kept them in but spore is an awesome game anyway but those things would make it a bit more enjoyable

The only two things I disliked about Spore is the lack of control over the auto-downloaded content, and the already noted want to be more close and personal with our own creations.
The auto-downloaded content is a vital part of Spore, I understand this, but every time I have an internet connection open whilst playing Spore, it downloads roughly 150 extra creations, most of which are uncoloured default grays, three featureless randomly arranged prims passed off as a vehicle/building, or have names like "asfkjlkjhlklkjlkj;;;;". An ability to filter content, perhaps by picking a few tags we like, or dislike, would be great. If the editors could detect when a piece of content has been left at its default-gray, then it could auto-tag them as "uncoloured", letting people avoid them at will. When "buddy content only" is enabled, all non-buddy content that has already been downloaded is removed, even the hand-picked or manually sorted content you gathered yourself. It would be nice to have a checkbox to halt the 150+ piece repeated download every time I open Spore, if just because manually filtering it repeatedly bores me before I even get to play. :P As for the lack of "up close and personal"? Galactic Adventures might help with that. I just remember watching the "Spore Accolades" video, with a creature in a ship, pressing a button to view clips... and thinking "it would be cool if I got to see my creatures doing stuff like that". After the creature and tribal stage, we lose a lot of the personality of our creations. People are always seen from afar, as tiny moving blips, and most vehicles are just slightly bigger blips. I know how this is all in-keeping with the entire powers-of-ten idea, but we players tend to want a more intimate ride of an adventure. I hate to say it so bluntly, but think of the Sims, and how even simple interactions could be distracting and charming. Otherwise, I like it! :3 |

Other things I disliked about spore, mainly to do with the phases:
The Cell phase was just about perfect, a little short though... The Creature phase was good, and while there were SOME details we wanted, like high fruit on trees needed a creature with a longer neck. But many other details, such as stacking part bonuses, food chains, proper ecosystems... many things that we saw in the previews 2 years ago, are not in there, I would like to see those details in future patches. The Tribal stage was too repetitive... needs more variety and more things to do than just allying with or destroying other tribes. The Civ stage, like the tribal stage, was too repetitive... Space stage, needed more things to do, and more ships! Why does your space-faring empire only have one ship?! A common complaint I have with the phases is that they are objective based... Spore was meant to be a sandbox-type game, players should be able to do what they want, when they want, and not have a stupid progress bar at the bottom... Anyways, I hope EA can turn Spore into the game we were expecting... Spore was never meant to be a game for casual and younger audiences, and trying to make it into that sort of game did not help at all... EA, please pick up on this and take note... I dislike the incredibly annoying way in which you have to create a spore cast,i had to search thru 58 pages just to find a few of my creations!!!
why can't you make a menu system like that of the sporepedia, where i can choose a buddy or my creation or to search the internet, its an annoying feature that should be destroyed and replaced with something like my idea a.s.a.p,cos i can't create any sporecasts! But seriously why are we complaining to EA? When was the last time EA listened to there customers? I mean look at the 35 minute demo on youtube, say with a straight face that that wouldn't be a better creature stage? more variety,i mean the cells have limbs!that would be awesome! Don't bother with pirates, just do stuff to make up for the money you lost.

i have a problem with the game, in all files i'm in the space stage i get none of the achievments. i've foun the galactic core, i've found earth, i've destroyed 20 planets and i've conquered well more than 20 planets. do the achivements all unlock at the end or something?

Hey, i have tried and tried and tried to enjoy this game but certain elements of it are really well.......lalalala.
Well, here are the bits i hate: Spice trading - I despise trading completely, i am a warrior type player and i do NOT want to trade, i want to fight and in my opinion, the money you make from combat is not enough and needs to be altered to bring as much or nearly as much as spice trading. Lack of Fleets - Why the hell would you do a game where you eventually get into space to explore the galaxy and not allow players to build a fleet?? i would like to see our race manage to defend our civilization from 10+ alien ships with a single ship, with respect, it is rather idiotic to think that we could. Treaties - If we can make treaties with other races and cause one race to attack another then why are we incapable of forcing another race to make peace?? I am sick and tired of allies fighting each other and demanding me to pick a side. Taxes - Why don't our citizens in spore pay taxes?? Maybe this could remove the need for the boring spice trading??? EA could do alot more for this game, so i suggest they stop milking it and do a proper expansion instead of releasing expansions with stuff that can be released in a mere patch, cause so far, the expansions i have seen (from what friends have bought) have not been worth a single penny from my pocket....I suggest you EA guys do an expansion that IS worth the money. |

I dislike the creature feet, not the feet as a whole, I mean when you have a tripod creature. The middle foot isn't...designed to be a middle foot so it seems, it takes the form of the left foot. Just a little thing, but it's still really quite annoying when trying to create a symmetrical creature and you have this left foot in the middle there. Maybe a development patch to 'fix' it would be great!
I have almost no problems or own-planet ecdisatsers, because I chose the cards with the prevention of said problems, though If I didn't I would be swamped ni them, I do agree. Last edited by Soggy2002; 20-02-2009 at 06:53 AM.. Reason: Forgot to add something...okay? |

First, I want to say that I like the game, but there are still some things that can annoy me very much in the game.
Listed in a completely random order: 1) You make it look like the galaxy is the whole universe, and generally it isn't so clear what a galaxy is, what the universe is etc. Perhaps not all people care so much about it, but it is just a little bit annoying for me that people think a galaxy 18 times smaller than a normal spiral-galaxy is the entire universe, when billions of galaxies exist. The game is huge, but not as big as the universe. One example is when I buy the interstellar motor (level 2 I think, not sure). After I buy it, I the vendor/whatever calls it an intergalactic motor. And you are never able to travel to other galaxies in the game. Like it says "evovle from a single cell to an intergalactic space empire". You are never able to travel to other galaxies. ![]() 2) Pirates and eco-disasters every 5 mins in the space stage. I think I would play the game MUCH MUCH more if that didn't happen just every 5 mins. Now I'm too lazy to travel away from my empire, to explore or do whatever I want. If it just happened once an hour I would survive, but the best would be to remove it or reduce it to zero as your empire grows. 3) Too few cell parts, and generally a too fast cell stage. The cell stage is very nice, but too short. 4) Why is there no "flora editor"? It must come in another patch. 5) Adding a defensive planet fleet would be the most cool idea ever. I miss the thing that you don't have any problems fighting the enemies attacking your planet, but they are just all going for your cities when they arrive. It's so annoying to see them bomb your city and then leave while you yell "come bk and fight!" It could also be a good idea to make the ability to plan attacks from your own planets. So your empire could send a fleet towards an enemy solar system which you could help. So it's more a war instead of a "hero" that flies around and claims the galaxy alone. 6) Having allies is no help. You can only use them to trade with and buy their systems, but they always want you to help them while not helping you with atks or eco disasters. The allied fleet members are just annoying (at least to me) since they fly around and get killed so you lose reputation, or you target them with your own weaps or even tools by a mistake. 7) Some more sounds (for the languages) would be a very good idea to add. Mostly in the space stage. I'm getting a little bit tired of "speaking" with people who always say the same things. Ofc you can't make complex languages, but it would be nice with some more diffrence. I don't like that you start so close to other empires. I think it's unrealistic that there should be so many planets with intelligent life so close to each other.9) It's annoying that the Grox-empire keeps attacking you. I don't know if you can defeat their empire in any ways (and I have been to the galactic core), but if you can I hope it will stop the attacks. I made a space empire specially for fighting the Grox empire in the middle of the galaxy, but their empire is too big. 10) The thing that you lose so much hp just while approaching an enemy planet, because you can't rly atk the enemies (only with the weak autoblaster). Ofc I see the problem if you removed it, but there must be a solution (if it was removed you could travel to the galactic core without fighting Grox). 11) I HATE the thing that you can't stop the auto download. If I just want to be online and create creations + share them without having to download any other automatically. Mostly because it annoyes me to have white boxes in the game as buildings, or creatures looking like words I don't want to say. Last edited by TheBlaDk; 26-02-2009 at 07:16 PM.. |
