no you'll only get access to it oncethe game ships. however if you order the full version of the CC now. then you get the money you spent on the CC off the price of spore if you order from them. So buy the CC then pre-order spore and i'm sure you'll be able to put in a code or something

I wouldn't pay to download a game. I like getting a box, book and a nice shiny disc but that's just me.

Digital distribution is the future and will eventually phase out retail boxes. But until it does, I still prefer to have a boxed DVD and will not be downloading the full game. Downloadin the Creator Tool was different as this will ship with the full version of the game anyway.

Does that mean I can buy the full spore creature creator, then pre-order spore for september and get the money spent on the full creture creator off?

yeh but i wouldnt..

if u buy the game from EA to download, it costs like 39.99 pounds. You can buy it cheaper (i think i saw someone say for 25 pounds) from some games stores.

this has really annoyed me, if i knew EA WAS gonna charge a lot more than other places i would not have bought the creature createrer.

even thu i have bought the cc i think i will purchase the game from a store, if it is cheaper than what EA is charging...

thats if the securerom is not happening.

And i'm afriad clawsywp, i've heard no plans for them to remove Securerom.

It was only the last two expansion packs. They were reliable till then. I'm not taking any chances of a late delivery with Spore. I'll go to the store and buy it on the day it's released.

What if some mean person goes to all your local stores and buys up all the copies?

Same Here, mate. I mean purchasing and downloading games are great. I got "C&C3" plus "Kane's Warth" and most of the "Battlefield 2" and "The Sims 2" series via the EA Store. But pre-ordering games via the same service or even via anyother web site, its just maddness. I mean, whats if something gose wrong? You get the wrong link emailed, the servers are down or you don't get emailed at all. You have paid all of that money for the beautifully crafted "Spore" and you can play it...it enough to go complete mad with maddness..lmao.

People said the same things about cd's, that people we're going to stop buying them and just download all their music. Nothing even close to that has happened yet. Obviously there are more computer illiterate people who buy music than there are who buy games, but i still don't think thats enough to stop me drawing the comparison.
I think people still like the physical object in their hands, particularly with things they have really been looking forward too.

I prefer to get a box and a CD cause it makes me feel like I'm actually buying something.
