Finally, finally sorted it. Just incase anyone else is in this mess here is what solved it for me:
(I'm running Vista). Downloaded and installed the new patch 1.01. (important you do this first because if you don't it won't work) Go to C:\\users\[my name]\AppData\Roaming\SPORE Creature Creator (If you can't find these files its because they are hidden files, go into your folder options and ask to show hidden files) Delete the GraphicsCache.package Delete the ServerCache.package Then restart Creature Creator, all your babies will be in the Everything section to reclaim them you need to go into each one individually and change something, I went and pulled their feet off and then put them right back on and then save. They will then be found in your Creations folder. Hope that helps everyone. P.S. You may have to delete the old ones in the Everything folder, to identify look at the time/date they were made. The new ones will be only a few mins/secs old the others will be their original creation date/time. |

Hi there
I tried to delete those files, but i cannot find the one named "ServerCache.package", i cannot find it in thar folder. The other one is in the specified folder, but if i only delete that one, nothing happens. I have 18 creatures made with the full version of the CC, wich i purchased before the game came to stores, and now that i have the full version of Spore, the game only displays 3 of them, wich one of them is a new made. What i could do now? Last edited by Amon-Chakay; 09-09-2008 at 09:01 AM.. |

Hi
The issue I had was as follows: I subscribed to a sporecast. I accidentally deleted creatures from the sporecast. Even if I then unsubscribed and re-subscribed to the sporecast, the creatures would not appear again. ANY CREATION that you delete, anywhere, is marked as deleted permanently in the file pollination.package. This is how to force Spore to rebuild that file and thus display all creations. * This would also work for any of your own creatures you'd deleted by mistake * The file Pollination.package keeps track of all content for your universe. ie. your creations, sporecasts, buddies etc. The file is located here: Windows XP C:\Documents and Settings\YOURNAME\Application Data\SPORE\ Windows Vista C:\Users\YOURNAME\AppData\Roaming\SPORE\ To solve this follow these steps on Windows XP: 1) Quit completely out of Spore 2) Browse to My computer, C:\Documents and Settings\YOURNAME\ (the YOURNAME folder on your PC will be whatever name you registered windows to) 3) From the menu bar click 'Tools' and 'Folder Options' 4) Click on the 'View' tab and put the dot in 'Show hidden files and folders' 5) Now click 'Apply' and 'Ok' 6) You should see a folder called 'Application Data' appear, double click this and inside there double click on the 'Spore' folder 7) Find the file Pollination.package right-click it and rename to pollination.old Don't delete it 8.) Minimise all windows and load up Spore again 9) All sporecasts, buddies and your creations folders will start flashing away as the data is downloaded again. If anything goes wrong, don't panic. Just quit back out of Spore and go back to C:\Documents and Settings\YOURNAME\Application Data\SPORE\ You'll see that there is a new pollination.package file. To get back to where you were before, simply rename THAT file to pollination.bad (or delete it) and then rename pollination.old to pollination.package For Windows Vista you'll need to go to C:\Users\YOURNAME\AppData\Roaming\SPORE\ but as I have Windows XP I've not tested this but see no reason why it wouldn't work. Incidentally I found that the last few achievements I'd got were triggered again, rather strangely, on loading up Spore. I'd also recommend you make sure your save game loads up ok and etc. Although as the save games are stored elsewhere, I don't see that they would be affected. Hope this helps some people as I found no solution from the forums or EA Cheers Draycen ps. I believe that for the Creature Creator the servercache.package file stores this information instead, but I've not tested that. |

Also the path to the files for me it's C:\Documents and Settings\Unai\Datos de programa\SPORE Well, what's more to test now¿??¿ ![]() ------------------------------------------------------ Done, for some reason when i restarded Spore my creations appeared where are all the creations of maxis, mine, and from my friends. A SOLUTION for those who reinstalled the game (Post Patch) and now crash to desktop And so was messing about with the Pollination file, what I noticed was that as a result I had lost many of my creatures from "My Creations" into "Everything", which was most annoying. But, it seems if you remove the png files from the My Documents section and then remove the pollination file it will re-download previously uploaded creations AND put them in the "My Creations" section correctly. ![]() I did, however, loose them again if I put the png files back (so I had to repeat the process again) which was very odd. And I was getting errors about not being able to log in when I created a backup folder within the "My Spore Creations" folder, so you really have to move the png files somewhere quite different. Unless you are someone who does not upload - what are the PNG's actually for? Just thought I would share. |

4. To share them, open them in the editor and make any small change. Save and publish.
Great, thanks. I recently had the problem that my creations were missing from the "my creation" folder and could only be found in the "everything" folder, where they were acting like they weren't mine anymore. I did step 4, edited them in a minor way and saved. Bingo, my creations were back in the "My creation folder." However I now have a brand new problem: There are now 2 creations in the Everything folder: - One that acts like I'm a stranger - A copy that does act like I'm the creator. I've been COMPLETELY unable to delete the one that acts like I'm a stranger. The moment I delete it and reload the game, it's right back again and being stubborn. What can I do to get rid of it? EDIT: It seems like the game re-downloads them from start-up. From where beats me since I'm not even connected. Last edited by Skirlasvoud; 26-09-2008 at 08:22 PM.. |

Hi, I and running the full version of Spore (not the creature creator) and I have the GraphicsCache file, but not the ServerCache file. Is there a problem or something?
