How to recover lost creatures! - Page 2

Do you mean in your game or on your Spore website?

If it's the former, you can probably go to the folder where all your Spore files are kept, select the ones you want to get rid of, right-click and select "Delete" (I haven't had any need to try this, so it might not work... but have a go anyway)!

If it's the latter... sorry to say there is no easier way to delete them at the moment, so you'll have to do it in the way you described! Do it on the US Spore site, tho... the UK one is far inferior and won't let you delete any creatures you don't want on your page!

I've deleted the files it says to delete, yet when I run the game, it still does not show the four missing creatures! Not anywhere - it still says "Displaying 101 of 105"

Any help?

ive just deleted the two files it says to delete but my creatures havent come back.
my problem is:
i created 6 with the trial version and once i had the full creature creator version they had all disappeared but it says ive created 11 (5 i have created since getting the full version). is there anyway to getting the 6 i created in the trial version back?? i can view them on my spore page on here (internet) but not on the game.

thx!!! worked great. jus 1 question tho... does this affect th graphics at all??? i did it nd i hav altered any settings (checked them aswell still at top) or done owt else wiv ma comp but they kinda don't look as good as they did... any1 else got this problem???

Deandria i actually love you. my first creature got deleted and i mean it wasnt great and all but it was my very first creature, i love it. and it got messed up but now its back. you rule!

im showing my hidden items in the application data folder and there is still no sign of spore, ive searched for the two items i need to delete and still nothing, its really strange :/

All your spore creations are stored in My documents/my spore creations/creatures folder (in xp) or (your user name)/documents/my spore creations/creatures (in vista). creatures deleted from here disappear from your sporepedia on your computer. If your talking about online then it's one by one I'm afraid!

Well, I spent the best part of a day making a couple of creatures I was really pleased with and then they just disappear - very annoying. (The creator claims I have 5 listed, but only shows one.) This fix doesn't seem to work either and I didn't use any cheats, nor were my creatures overly complicated (all were about half on the little molecule meter).

Question: is there any point wasting more of my time or is this just going to happen again? It's a fun toy, but if it's really this broken I'd rather chuck the game in the bin than throw away even more time and effort. Also if a commercial product can be released with such a glaring bug, I certainly won't be wasting any additional money on the full game.

EDIT: Think I've sorted it now, but I'd still like to know if this is going to keep on happening after I've performed the fix? It's going to be a bit of a pain to keep doing this and copying them over every time it decides to mess up.

I've already had to do this "fix" once, but now I've come across another problem and thought this might be the best place for posting it.

I've just added a description to, saved and shared all of my previously unshared creatures - I came here to check them out on my spore page, then went back to the ingame sporepedia and found that all of the creatures I'd just uploaded had been replicated, so I delete these replicas (making sure they're not the ones with the new descriptions) and then found that my creature file on my computer is completely empty but all the shared spore are still in the ingame sporepedia ... so now I'm all confused and asking anyone here please tell me why? and possibly what to do about it?

what should i do next?

and also i dont know if there is anyway to solve this after such a long time, but when i baught the extended creator all of the creatures i had made before then disappeared. is there anyway of getting those back, because i had some of my favourites in there and now they are gone.

Yeah, I have 3 creatures in "My creations" but the 2 newest ones don't show up in the Sporepedia on the main Spore site. I've selected them to share but I'm not sure why they don't show up. Will the advice given on the first page of this thread work, considering I've downloaded the new patch that became available AFTER this thread was made?

Edit:- Figured it out. I just lowered the complexity and all was well.

I had to reinstall CC and now it does not recognise my creatures which I can see in the spore directory on my pc.

I am running Vista but the last message about locating a folder on the pc does not seem to apply to what I have on my pc. can someone help, can't find roaming/SPORE Creature Creator anywhere on the pc.

HELP DESPERATELY NEEDED! I spent a long time creating my babies I want them back.
