It's just that I checked the number of votes I had yesterday and it was still 17. You must have voted after then, so I haven't seen that it has now risen to 18. That's why I asked.

Yeah, I always do that on skate. reel to show that I have rated someone's footage.

Now I just need two more votes/ratings for that achievement... How about you?
I have tried to rate peoples' footage so that they would, in return, vote for mine, but I have rated 30+ pieces of footage, yet received less than 20...

Annoys me, to be honest.
How about you? Roughly how much have you voted for, and how many votes (by the way, you can vote for yourself once-

)?

Seen as my xbox is in Germany with the red ring of doom i can't know for sure but I'd guess I've got between 10 and 15 rates, I must have given out at least 40 to other people, it ****es me off so badly when people don't rate back.

Mine went there for RRoD treatment not so long ago- been fine since, thankfully.

Yeah, it is kinda annoying when people ask for footage to be rated, take your vote and never think of voting back...

Or when you see people with 1 post count and then they're saying "rate me" or "BEST VIDEO EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11", I've just stopped rating ones like that.

I do realise the above is ever so slightly hypocritical as my first post on here was to get some more rates but I'll live.

Yes, but at least you have posted more since then (one of my first (more than a year ago) was for ratings on skate., but not the very first. I think) and not just post once and let people rate it but never return... I think that this has happened quite a number of times- someone will just post a few times asking for votes, and then leave.

Are you only talking about the skate. forum?
There's more to the EAUK than just this section, which isn't as 'dead'.

On-topic: There are now very few who come here to get votes, so getting the last two will be very difficult...

This is bit, yes I do know about the rest of the EA UK forum as I explored the other day and was shocked as to how many peole use it yet so many never come on this bit. I'm struggling to get more votes so I'm just spamming up the US (I think) EA forums, I'll get 20 one day. I think my Xbox is on it's way back from Germany so when it gets back I'll find out for definite how many more I need. Just out of interest if you know but when I go on UPS to track it it says delivered and has a departure scan from Frankfurt so does this mean it's on it's way back or not? as I think it might be going somewhere else in Germany or does it really only take about an hour to repair. I'm in constant fear that they'll send it back unrepaired.

I'm not sure, but they won't send it back unrepaired. As compensation for the 'trauma' of all this, though, you get a 1-Month Xbox Live thing.

This getting 20 votes was pretty hard for me even when I started posting when the game was newly-released, and I've had to keep the same vid uploaded so that it gets rated.
I hope you get your 20 soon!

For skate. you don't have to worry about getting 20 votes on your footage, you can just upload sweet footage all the time. I have to keep one piece uploaded all the time for those votes...

It annoys me so much though as I have 990 gamerscore for Skate and I just need that last achievement. GOOD NEWS I've had an email saying they've received my xbox at the service station, now I'm just waiting for an email saying they've repaired it, give it a few weeks and I should have it back

How many votes are you getting on the other forum?

Good, so you'll be getting it back this week, I would have thought.
Mine took two days to repair and made it back in another two or three.

I'd guess off the other forum I've rate about 30/40 but I'd be surprised if I got more than 12 off them. Just as an indicator how many views did you footage get before it got 20 rates? just so I know roughly

But no, it shouldn't take that long- I think that people just haven't voted for mine. They might be more likely to for yours, though, if a lot of those on the other forum are also desperate for the achievement and so more willing to help others...
