Which do you like better: The Sims or The Sims 2?

So which do you like more?

The Sims 1

or

The Sims 2

or

Equal to Both Games
?

and this is not about The Sims 3

i like 2 better because it is not as repeatitive as the sims 1 like you gets days of they can do things the want where as in the sims 1 it was always just like eat sleep work every day

I chose both.

I liked the simplicity and kiddy-feel to The Sims 1 but I like the realistic and detailed features of The Sims 2. Sims 2 graphics are way better as well but based on gameplay I'd say both.

The Sims 1 actually sold more than The Sims 2. The Sims 1 sold 100,000,000 (one hundred million).
But EA still advertises The Sims 2 and not Sims 1 because The Sims 2 is more expensive so they'll get more money there.

I loved The Sims 1 because I used to play SimCity and wish I could play with those little guys that appeared everywhere, and build too. So it was like a dream when The Sims was announced and released. I could hardly wait for it and became addicted imediattly. Even if in the beggining I kept killing them. I'm not a couch potato

so I wouldn't let them rest enough. They'd die of exhaustion, poor fellows.

I do miss that time, when the game was absolutely new.

But I adore both games and I'll adore The Sims 3.

Edit: WAITT. Was it the Sims who got the 100 million sold or the Sims 2? Or was it both combined?

Yes. It is The Sims 1 that sold the 100 million. I read it in Wikipedia.

I love them both but for different things. Both games offered different elements of gameplay with the expansion packs. Sometimes I feel like creating a health spa with a movie set, yet sometimes I want my sims to be able to drive cars.

I loved the sims 1... until my computer broke the cd in half

But I think I liked the sims 2 better as I love the fact that you can play through generations of families, unlike the sims 1 where they just stayed the same age forever as far as i remember

I love both.

If I had not discovered The Sims (and consequently became an addict!) I would never have been a Sims2 player.

The Sims game is the original and best.
The Sims2 game technically improved on The Sims with 3D graphics and added more gameplay with each expansion/stuff pack.

Recently I have created a neighbourhood on Sims2 with the families from The Sims with the Hot Date Downtown and currently still working on building Studio Town. Although I have had to improvise on decor and objects, there are some great community lots for sims.

Just because Sims was the origional it doesn't make it the best. Sims 2 all the way.

It wouldn't be fair for me to say, I haven't played Sims 1 for years!
I think if I probabley went back to it now, it would be quite dull, Sims 2+3 are so dynamic compared to Sims 1.

Probably the original Sims, because it was like the first computer game I had ever played.... Such memories! But then there is alot more to the Sims 2. (And there's better cheats!

). But I like the Sims 1 best.

i like them both in their own ways i love the sims because it had the really cool expansion packs like superstar and making magic which are really fun and i feel that now the sims 3 has come out that there is nothing left of the original sims which is such a shame because im having trouble loading mine and iv tried everything i have found but theres not any good helping sites.
