stairs is use

ok here goes..

there is a staircase that was being used normally by sims and pets .. all of a sudden no one can get on it. they all go near it and stop there and then use another staircase in another room. i have checked it properly and there's nothing blocking it in any way (which was not possible in the first place because it was being used).

when i use buy or build mode, the staircase cannot be touched basically cause its "in use". what to do here?

Hi and welcome to the forums

Maybe the staircase has become 'glitched'. Have you tried deleting it with the move_objects on cheat?

I tried it and it worked for the stairs! Thanks a lot. There is also a pond i made with the water tool on the terrain which i wanted to remove. Most of it gets deleted witch ctrl-click except two (separated ones). I was hoping that move_objects would work here too

... but its not. maybe because this is in the build mode?

Possibly. I am afraid that I can't remember exactly how it all works in The Sims as I have not played in a while. Are you able to edit the terrain at all?

Yes the rest of the terrain is open for play... pond, grass, leveling, creating a pool, etc. are all working actions.
