Castaway stories - where's my sim gone??

Basically, i completed shipwrecked and single, and became cheif of the volcano tribe, and married Timoti, and etc. And it said, "youve now completed shipwrecked and single, now its your job to make sure timoti and jane (my sim) live happily ever after"... so i saved it, and shut down my computer, went to sleep, and now im trying to get back to the same place i was, but shipwrecked and single doesnt allow me to continue where i left, probably because i finished that chapter. and the wanami island thing is playing really funny games with me because its not allowing me to place any families on it, and theres no option to place a lot where families can move in, and i cant find my jane and timoti! how do i do that?
HELP!
