stuck on castaway stories

i'm stuck on castaways stories on the bit were u av 2 tlk 2 those 4 sims at the village harbour ive got 2 know 3 of them but im stuck on the 1 hu tlks bout needin a jar of light how do i get this jar of light he wants?

You need to catch fireflies. They normally appear at dusk. Click on them and you will be able to choose to catch them

why was I never asked for a jar of light? Do you have to play Jessica to do that?
