I am not really sure what you are getting at here.

Your Sim is struggling for money right now, is that right?

You could sell some of their items to make fast cash, look in the paper for better paid careers (I think the hacker one goes up the most if I remember correctly but it has been ages since I played) and make sure that you gain the skill points and number of friends needed to gain a promotion at work.
