how do children get the toadstool ingredients in makin magic

Welcome to the forums bubbleairhead.

In the buy catalogue you can buy a toadstool chair, have your children sit on this for a while and it will spawn toadstools on the lot somewhere, you may have to hunting for them.

If you are having difficulty getting any of the ingredients for kids, you can download a Magical Cabinet from here on the classic sims site. It initially acts just like a bookcase, however your sims can click on it to open a secret compartment where they can store ingredients; since children can access this too, your adult sims can buy or earn the inredients, place them in the cabinet and your children can take them out again.
