Default Help - problem with sims sleeping together

Please help - I have created a new family - all cancerians which I thought would make them get on well but the mum and dad wont sleep in the same bed together - they get undressed, one gets in bed and the other shakes their head and makes a noise like a cockeral (is this wierd or what lol)

Anyway the one left goes to sleep on the couch. The only way to get all of the family into bed is to put the adults in the 2 kids single beds and the 2 kids get into the double bed together.

Anyone with real kids knows that this is all a bit too real -lol

why wont mummy and daddy sleep together??

Is thier anyway of finding out what the little thought bubbles mean when they are cross and waving their arms at me?

Many thanks

I had lots of fun with this when I first got The Sims, I would play around with having more sims than beds in the lot, there were some tired and cranky sims about.

Okay to answer your question; when you create adult sims in the Create A Family mode, they don't automatically have a high enough relationship. Check the relationship panels for your adult sims and you'll see that they are probably not yet at friend status, adult sims need to be friends at least before they'll sleep in the same bed.

Further to that, once it gets high enough you can have then use the romantic interactions to fall in love.

You have had a reply to your all too real issue of adults not getting into bed together (though mine never crowed about it like a cockerel but I am not sure that they were cancerian...?)

As for the wavey army thingie- look at the images in the thought bubble as well as the waving Sim's motives. It will usually indicate to you what they want (they always WANT something from you when they do that)- usually it is fun and entertainment. Ball, TV etc? Hunger is more a tummy rubbing thing.

TV watching for less active Sims and basket/volleyball for the more active ones seem to please them. Apparently so does watching the aquarium though not nearly as much as on The Sims Online (where it is used to "green" a Sim!).

Hi

many thanks to you both. Been married so long myself I had forgot about the courtship element lol.

Am getting much better at keeping everyone happy - I think they should make sims compulsory education at school!!

LOL- I hear you. Courtship was fun but oh so tedious too!

Now- I actually know someone in the US who used The Sims (in its heyday) as part of her teaching strategy in her highschool class. Needless to say she was extremely popular and was very successful in getting her message/educative principles across to her pupils.

Just wait until your sims have babies, I was most unnerved to discover that you can get babies just by kissing after all.

Thanks both for your replies - I see my mother was right, you can get babies from kissing!!

I am highly addicted now - looking after my sims family takes all my fress time while my real family sits downstairs watching unsuitable tv and eating dry cornflakes from the box!!

Only kidding
