Oh wow!! At first I thought it sounded like it would be kinda bare, but after a little more research, it looks really awesome!!!

According to an interview with Grant Rodiek, there will be earthquakes.

@the_understudy: Hope so too.

I'm training to become a tattoo artist IRL so on one hand I am looking forward to seeing how a sims game will handle the fun yet gruelling process but on the other, I know I will be cursing the game thinking why can't things be this easy IRL.

This EP does sound great though.. and I thought I was exicted about world adventures.

This sounds really exciting ! I only have a few questions...
1. If you have a multiple family household do you HAVE to control them at their job? Cause that would be a little much...
2. I hope they have more items than world adventures
3. Will this make the game turn out more like a scavenger hunt if your a detective?
This game sounds really fun overall but those were just a few comments/questions

Unsure about other people but I'd like a lot more better front doors, that are realistic.

When I look at the front doors in the game and compare them to ones in real life *in UK* the game ones look unrealistic.

There is a set for build mode, which have doors, in the store, if you have some simpoints left, try looking at those, you might want one...

I am looking forward to this EP. So far, I'm liking the sound of being a detective, architect and...(Servo, oh how I have missed you! ).

I have one or two concerns, however, it's early days so I'm going to stay positive.

Yeah same! Except my caveman PC of 10years died two months after Sims 3 was released, so when we begged my parents to buy another for college work, I actually use it for sims . My monitor is 19" too (: But yeah, I love the look of this EP, cant wait, I wonder what the price will be though..

This pack sounds very exciting! Can't wait to get Servo back again, I'm hoping it's not a playable character again like in the Sims 2, I'd prefer it to be like it was in the original Sims.

Looking forward to having my sims become inventors.

Oooh. That sounds fun. In ts2 I used to take pics of a fictional scavenger hunt, cause you couldn't have one in game, but if you do it right, e.g fixing the clock, taking a book out of the shelf and pause and take the pic at the right moment it looks good. I'm looking forward to this one. I just hope it doesn't ship with a shedload of bugs and glitches that put me off playing Sims 3 as much as I'd like to.

Rather interestingly, Grant also mentions a new option for those job loners who prefer to collect and sell gems or home grown produce or even catch fish for a living:

“We’ve implemented something we call “Skill Careers” so that players who have Sims who are fishermen, inventors, writers, and more can now register as self-employed at City Hall. We’ve added the consignment store venue in town so that players who create things like paintings or find things like jewels can earn a profit and take advantage of their Sims’ entrepreneurial spirits.”

And for those players who like their Sims to have a fat property portfolio to keep the riches rolling in while they potter around in their underwear, playing computer games, the real-estate system has been given a makeover:

“Finally, we did an overhaul on the real estate system that lets you purchase community buildings. Now, you can purchase any community lot in the game, then customise and upgrade them to earn Simoleons long-term. There is something for everyone!”
-Gaming Lives

I hope we could also display our gems in that venue store too like in the Gallery...

For a long time now, I've wanted this. I was one of the people who suggested this over at the sims3.com site a while ago in the Ideas & Feedback section. It just makes sense that self-employment would be an option, instead of seeing 'Unemployed' when your Sim is clearly making loads of money off fishing, gardening, writing ect...

Great find, the_understudy! I am thrilled.

I'm presuming as there will be doctors, there will be illness?
(I heard my sim sneeze for the first time today and got worried. Reminded me of the viruses in TS2! )

Yeah, because what they will do is to find a cure or test it to other sims, so surely there will be...

The detonator sounds interesting, gives me a reason to create some villians in Sunset Valley!

I must admit, this sounds intruiging. I didn't want to buy World Adventures because for the cost, it seemed extremely bland, however this EP seems more original and more dynamic, exactly the sort of thing that appeals to me.

Looking forward to hearing more about this.

The only thing that would make me excited about this is to find out that they disabled the car pool. Other than that, the idea of being able to follow my Sim to work doesn't excite me.

I do hope that if there are earthquakes, it's only if you choose a particular career like firefighter, and that these earthquakes aren't random. That would really bum me out.
