Default Tremendous irritation over using toilets.

Hi,

I am very new to this forum and I need an advice . I played the game quite some time now and finally registered because I don't understand whether it is just me or a simple action about using a toilet is inflated to ridiculous proportions and became for me to be the most irritating and hated action of the whole game. I bought a second most expensive device, but literally EVERY SECOND TIME my sim can not properly do "what they must do". This is a joke. The toilet breaks, jams, needs to be flushed three times even after khmm.. peeing (for males), etc. I really came to the point that I am afraid using a toilet at home! I just can't imagine that in real life I would have troubles with using a toilet every other time. Maybe I am missing some point or maybe some trick or a skill is needed? I am totally lost.

I have no idea, tbh. I know, I am a little emotional , but I am so not into toilet fetishes, peeing into pants, etc.

Try the most expensive toilet, and if they're still not going to the toilet you may have a glitch there. But you could consider trying to save up to buy the Steel Bladder reward with lifetime reward points to "relieve" the problem.

(taxi!)

I think traits might have a lot to do with causing things to break. 2 of my family of 8 have Handy traights, it seems the more they gain points, the more things break.. Problem is it's very time consuming when you have 8 bathrooms and 2 dishwashers like I do to upgrade all of them. I call in a repairman every night.
My toilets are not often a problem, it's the showers, basins and dishwashers that constantly break down. My toilets are the most expensive ones I can buy.

Are any of your sims studying the handiness skill? If they are then you can always have them try to make the toilets unbreakable. It may take a while though.

No, not really. I tried that once, but tinkering uses loads of time and none of my sims is into military, where tech is a requirement. Once I gained five ranks before giving up, and even then I was only able to upgrade to self-cleaning or smth.
