Default My card is no longer supported?

I have a GeForce 9600 GS. I had to uninstall and then reinstall the game due to problems with the Download Manager and when that started my game kept giving me an error when I tried to start the game. But anyway, after reinstalling I go to start a family and a pop up comes up saying my video card isn't a supported card? i checked and its still listed in the supported cards so I don't get it. I didn't get this pop up the first time.

Also, on a seperated issue I am still having issues with the download manager. I'm no longer able to download items from either the store or the exchange. When I finally get a download to go through it won't let me install it into the game. This is very frustrating as I like to download lots from the exchange. Has anyone else had this issue?

Oh, and didn't there used to be a search function for this forum?

Your card is supported. It may be going bad thou since your getting that message.I haven't had any problems downloading anything but a lot of people have and this is something EA really needs to fix.Their contiunesly updating the launcher with patches but it hasn't fixed everyones problems yet.By the way don't try to look at post on their forums you'll just get an error. They've had this problem since last night.

I don't know how it could be going bad....I've only had this computer since earlier this year...February or so. And this card came with the computer. And I don't play too many games on it and not for any length of time.

This is everything that came up when I did that, Rohannnn. What does that all mean?

As far as I can tell, the game isn't aware of your graphics card existing, it doesn't have your card in it's database, presumably because the card is too new. You could try installing the latest patch/update from the launcher if you haven't already, as that might have updated card info for the game.

I don't really understand how it would have worked fine the first time you installed it, though.

The fact it shows "found 0, matched 0" doesn't seem right to me either, "found 0" is expected since the game doesn't have the 9600GS in the database, but the "matched" part works differently and should be able to match any 9600-series card. I could be totally wrong about this though since it's just guesses about how the game works by me trying to read the graphics detection scripts.

Is it still running OK anyway?

Hmm weird. I started it up on a family and it seemed to go ok. But I turned the game off soon after so I can figure out why it said it wasn't supported. The game is all updated so I don't think thats it. What is weird is that I didn't get this when I installed the game the first time.

Yeah I can't understand that either. I guess it might be possible that the game files (including the ones for detecting graphics) got messed up while uninstalling/reinstalling the game.

Unless you want to try uninstalling again, manually uninstalling maybe, I'd just ignore the message for now.

Have you tried updating your graphics drivers? As you have an NVidia card you don't want to get the very latest ones (5th October ones, as there are problems with those) but you could try updating to the ones from July or August. Use this link to find the right drivers for your card and operating system:
