Your chance to play The Sims™ 3 World Adventures before it releases

Tell us what your Sims will do in World Adventures
for the chance to join us for an exclusive hands-on with World Adventures.

We're offering UK Sims fans the chance to play the first expansion pack for The Sims 3 on October 28th, nearly a month before the game releases!

Simply send a PM to EAUK_Competitions telling us (in no more than 50 words) what your Sims plan to get up to in World Adventures. Be sure to include your name, age and email address with your entry.

If you're one of the 10 best entries then we'll invite you down to HMV Gamerbase in Reading where you will be given access to an early version of the new game all afternoon!

Please note - no travel, food or drink expenses will be covered so do consider this before you enter and make sure that you read the terms and conditions before entering

THE SIMS 3 WORLD ADVENTURES COMMUNITY HANDS-ON COMPETITION TERMS & CONDITIONS

1. General
The opening time and date of the competition is Wednesday 14th Oct 2009 at 00:01 GMT, and the closing date and time for receipt of entries is Wednesday 21st October 2009 at 23:59 GMT. Entries submitted after this time will not be considered.

2. Restrictions
This prize draw is open to UK residents aged thirteen (13) and over only. Entrants under 16 need will need parental consent plus be accompanied by guardian/ parent on the day. Employees (and members of their immediate family) of “Electronic Arts” (“EA”) (“Promoter”), their agents and anyone connected to this competition are not eligible to enter.

3. Rules to participate
No purchase of any goods or services is necessary to be eligible for entry into this competition.

To enter go to The Sims 3 forums at The Sims 3 - Electronic Arts UK Community telling us in no more than 50 words what your Sims plan to get up to in World Adventures. Entries will be judged against originality, artistic direction & creativity. Entrants must also provide the following information: name, age and a contact email address. This information will only be used for this promotion, will not be used for any other purpose and will be deleted after use. Entries close at midnight Wednesday 21st October 2009. The judges’ decision is final. No correspondence will be entered into.

4. Prize(s)
Ten (10) winners will be invited to attend an invite-only preview event on 28th of October 2009 at HMV Gamerbase in Reading. The event will run from 11am to 4pm in which time invitees will be given a hands-on preview of The Sims 3 World Adventures. This will be an early version of the game; not all features may be available.
The winners may bring a friend along but the friend/ parent/ guardian but they will not be allocated time with the game.

Travel and other expenses will not be covered by EA. Please consider this before entering. EA also recommends that the winner obtains suitable insurance before travelling.

The winner will be required to sign a non-disclosure agreement and an Assignment of Rights.

There are no alternatives to these prizes. They are as stated and are non-transferable. If due to circumstances beyond the control of EA, EA is unable to provide the stated prizes, EA reserves the right to award substitute prizes of equal value. All prizes are subject to the terms and conditions of the supplier.

5. Results
The winner will be contacted by email on Thursday 22nd October.

If the winner of the prize cannot be traced after reasonable efforts have been made by EA, EA will be entitled to select alternative winner from among the entrants.

A full list of who won will be available for four (4) weeks following the day of the selection of winners. This list can be obtained by writing to The Sims 3 World Adventures Preview Event Competition, Electronic Arts, Onslow House, Onslow Street, Guildford, Surrey, GU1 4TN

If proof of age is requested, and if satisfactory proof of age is not received, the Promoter reserves the rights to choose another winner.

6. General Conditions
Any entry, which does not comply with the rules, may be deemed invalid at the sole discretion of EA. EA is not responsible for technical, hardware or software malfunctions, misdirected entries, lost or unavailable network connections, failed, incorrect, garbled, delayed electronic or other communications or other technical problems related to mobile entries. Proof of sending will not be deemed to be proof of delivery.

Entrants agree that they may be required to take part in publicity without further consent or payment. Such publicity may include their names and/or likeness.

7. Data protection
In order to participate in the competition participants must provide certain information on themselves. This personal information is collected and processed only for the purposes of organising, running and monitoring the campaign, as well as for carrying out publicity activities on it. The organising entity shall be considered the data controller for the database containing this personal information.

By entering this competition, participants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and by any other requirements set out in the promotional material, which may be amended or varied at any time by the Promoter.

The Promoter of this prize draw is EA Swiss Sàrl, Place du Molard 8, Geneva 1204,Switzerland.

This prize draw is governed by and is in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

It is a hands on session rather than a Q&A with any of the developers so there won't really be anyone there to ask questions to as far as I know.

I am sure that whoever gets to attend will come back and tell you guys all about the game which could answer some of the questions you might have though
