I don't want it at all, but it'd be better if you weren't required to have some of the buyable content. The creator should make a version with the BC replaced with base items. It would be more player friendly.

you dont have to get it, but when you select them in CAS the clotes will auto change to a maxis replacement.

you still dont have to download the stuff, it will just be changed to a maxis replacement or not appear at all.
