Boo!
The Sims 3 would have to be the worst game of the year, I tried it, and it is so over rated! like 95% of community lots r rabbit holes, there are bugs & just look at the forum for how many issues there are! All I can suggest is if you haven't bought it yet, DON'T Waste of $100 bucks! I'm sorry but I feel this, traversty has cost the sims dearly! They went to far, and it's the biggest mistake in history, Will Wright would be really ticked cause I am! The game was so over rated! TBH, they should have taken the Sims 2, and just changed it to be a living neighbourhood. The cars have no animation (they just appear on road) not drive out, teh games a disaster! Sorry But I'm glad I got my money back! My final word. Get or stick to TS2, TS3 is [Removed]! That's all I can descibe it as! Regards, Eagle p.s - please, I'ld liek to know who else thinks this was a disaster! Last edited by EAUK_Aurora; 04-07-2009 at 02:23 PM.. Reason: . |

I wasn't really all that hyped up, but I'm still disappointed with certain aspects.
Think EA went too far on the cheekyscale to charge extra for content that had previously been standard sims stuff.

Quite a few EA games are buggy these days. And if you spent $100, you deserve to suffer. If you're gonna spend that much stupidly, at least wait and read feedback on forums such as these. That and I haven't found it overrated. There are many other games out there which actually are, so take a breather. Oh and I had a look at TS2, graphics wise it made me cringe. I'd rather stick with TS3 as it's satisfied me enough.

![]() You are entitled to your opinion but I disagree with you. ![]() I think people have to understand with such a complex game, glitches will arrive all the time and I'm sure EA is working hard to fix them for us. Sims 3 has changed completely from Sims 2 and I think your opinon is only based on a few parts of the game rather than looking more indepth at the changes.

this is going to sound weird, but i like that the book store and grocery store are rabbit holes just so that it takes 5 seconds to shop so you have more time playing, but dont get me wrong i also dislike it because it would be much nicer to meet people in the bookstore so your traits would clash easier. like the owner might be a book worm and you get attracted easier and say the waiter and the resturant is a natrual cook and your looking for someone like that, it just makes it easier to find a mate :P

I would have to totally agree with the quoted point. That would have been the best way to go |

I think it's shoddy treatment: People buy the game, as perhaps they have done since the beginning and pay the full price (some paid £35 - others perhaps got better deals online) for the game that they expect, after years of receiving, with full standard content. Why on earth should I pay more so that I can have the extra neighbourhoods which were previously a standard part of the game, or pieces of furniture that perhaps I can do with out but were otherwise previously contained in all the games without having to buy them separately. The only person who seems to find this amusing is Yahtzee; "Omigosh! EA DO have business acumen afterall!?" - or something to that effect. As a reflection of their opinion of sims fans? I'd say that EA actually expect (and I think they're probably right for the majority) for their customers to roll over and pay extra for stupid little pieces that should have been included in a belatedly released game anyway. Nice opinion they have. Probably correct too. I didn't see too many complaints about this "feature". I guess people are too loved up to think "wait, I'm spending a lot of money on a game, really". Clever little marketing scheme. I'm sticking to free custom made things as I did with the sims 2 stuff packs.

I love the game, it's slow in Live Mode, but thats because my CPU doesn't meet the requirements.
Other than that the only problem I've experienced it that I can't make my sims fat or skinny in CAS, but I'll end up googling that problem later :/ [Removed] Last edited by EAUK_Aurora; 04-07-2009 at 02:24 PM.. Reason: . |

Lots of opninions flying around.... I woudnt consider 35 pound too much for something that complex that lasts for ever and once completed can be played in many mnay ways. Wi games and playstation games cost 40 plus and once you have completed it that's it.
Reasonable I feel really!!! |

Well, I like the game... But I have played WAY better games. I don't like the fact all "new content with new meshes" have to be downloaded a certain way because EA didn't like the simple downloads folder. I also don't like the store as it wastes money you already put into expansions in the future. Honestly, this game is a little bumped up from Sims 2 whether people believe it or not. It's fact because they USE TS2 as a base. When TS2 came out it was completely different from TS1. Those are just some cons of the game, but I feel there are a lot of pros to the game as well in which there are more pros than cons. Buuut. I'd much rather play Dragon Age: Origins made by Bioware but EA producing it... I think that would be the game of the year for me.

::Snooty Sims:: Most Sims lovers know of that site and go to the site. (look at the bottom) Most people have minor problems including myself. Not to mention if you add the problems up. About 50% have problems when almost 25% have the game and it works fine, and almost 25% don't. It's safe to say the majority have issues whether large or not. I doubt "most" people have even heard of snooty, let alone posted there. i have to go back 4 pages on this forum to find a genuine post with serious gameplay issues. Dog away.

@ op
You sound like someone who bought the game while already expecting it to be bad before trying it, when you do that you tend to only look at the problems. |

The other £11/9/10/whatever you pay for a living room set that should already be in the game and the extra bits for bedrooms is not.
