Dog away.
So where exactly are your sources besides paging through the forum? Just because someone posts they have an issue, that doesn't mean they are the ONLY person to have an issue with the game. Therefore your logic is flawed. I think it's odd how pretty much everyone here knows of Snooty when another person mentions it? As said the issues were big and SMALL. Just because you have no issues with your game, doesn't mean the rest of the world doesn't. Also, I've seen quite a few threads here complaining about issues. Shall I go through the forum pages and post all of them with replies to that thread stating people have the same issue? Try looking & reading harder. Not to mention visit TheSims3.com forums with a WIDER selection of people and view the polls there. Same as snooty. I'd like sources and facts before I tally on whether or not a game has an issue from the opinion of the community, not one person who doesn't have issues once so ever with the game.

>> the more I play the game, the further the graphical quality disintegrates.

Think it's just the ATI mild incompatibility. I'll just keep fiddling.

[Removed] Look at my first post I said

"I'm glad I got my money back"

The main reason I posted this was to warn other's NOT to get it, waste of money and stick to The Sims 2!

Also, the graphics's aren't that much better, sure maybe the water is, but that would be it! Nothing else! They could just have fixed the Sims 2, made it a living neighbourhood, added some new storylines & objects and left it at that!

EA, FAIL!!!!!!!!

Well thanks for reading

There's no need to be rude, or to tell people to shut up. This is a public forum isn't it? & on my pc the graphics are way better than the sims 2, so maybe your machine's the problem.
You obviously don't appreciate how hard it'd be to create a seamless neighbourhood out of the sims 2 either.

I've seen so much positive feedback and reviews for the game, so the majority of people are happy with it. I appreciate your opinion, but stop trying to force your little rant as fact.

Oh but he can tell me to keep my opinion to myself!

Well guess wat Jacob! If your read up 3 posts alot of peeps find things wrong with it! So plz I'm just trying to save peeps money & shame EA for releasing a TERRIBLE game!

Major fail! I'll stick to TS2 thanks, it's better

Oh and FYI, I have a high grade Gaming PC, so the graphics were top notch, however the sim detail was poor, not to mention the sim bar on the right! IT's terrable compared to TS2!

So don't say it's my PC cause trust me, mines way better then yours!

Actually, I was only trying to correct a fact, and not be rude. Nor burn, nor dog anyone as I previously stated. I'm going to state my reasonings, but I'm not going to be rude about it as to telling someone to shut up or call them them stupid. They actually posted something that was wrong and biased; no sources, no facts, just opinion. I'm tired of seeing other posters here constantly reply with help or facts with no proof and it's wrong, as I feel most of my posts here are to help and answer questions or make corrections to answers already previously stated, and it peeves me when someone argues when I'm solely posting here for that purpose. Don't get me wrong, I do love Sims 3 and the forum. Buuut, that's pretty much the end of my discussion on the remainder of this topic.

"mines way better than yours." Jeez, how mature. My sims look beautiful, and we're talking about the same game, so there must be something up with your graphics.
2 Pages of posts doesn't account for the millions of simmers that didn't post either.
I didn't post to start an argument. I just wish you'd be a bit more civil.

"My sims look beautiful" OMG; that's sad! It's a game!!! Also, as I said, nothing wrong with my graphics, set to very high in the options and I'm running the second best video card out there! So really mate, do I have that lalalala of a PC? I don't think so!

And wat I ment was the avatar's on the side are bad, some graphics are nice ie the water, but I can just download a patch for the Sims 2 to make their's look like that too.

Just mainly the community lots and the press it got is a big let down!

Sorry, but if you read this, and you r thinking of getting the sims 3, DON't or at least keep the reciept cause Mine went back after a week!

Just mainly the community lots and the press it got is a big let down!
I noticed that the view of the city is a bit different by graphics than in the Sims 2. This actually doesn't mean that it is more worst.
It is just another view mode. The neighborhood can be zoomed in and out without loading screens, you can move your camera freely inside of the city.
So for this feature, for the "open neighborhood" you have to sacrifice probably a bit of the view of details.
The water is in my opinion better than in Sims 2, trees and bushes are animated and there details are better than in Sims 2.
There are shadows on houses and objects.
So I don't see your point.
Probably the fading in and the fading out of Sims and cars is realized differently than in the Sims 2, but I think the designers know what has to be done for the "open neighborhood" that it works fluently.

The non-visibility of the animation details or contents of lots doesn't actually bother me that much, if I see the other good features.

And maybe in another EP or update will be improvements to this things too, who knows it yet.

I remember as I bought the Sims 2 without all EP's it wouldn't be comparable to what it now is after the last EP.
Even mods will not help you to polish a Sims 2 base game up that much.

And I'm happy to see more artificial intelligence of the Sims as characters.
In Sims 2 the Sims intelligence wasn't improved much with all the EP's
even. They're just like dolls, if all needs are fulfilled they'll play only on the computer or write diaries.

So be happy with the Sims 3, explore the game deeper before you judge
it by some common criticism what you've heard on the forums.

Maybe you also check your graphic device drivers on an update.
As I updated my NVidia graphics driver to the newest version, there was
another boost of details.

1. None of us play sims 3, 24/7 so don't you dare accuse anyone of that

2. You should take your head out of your [Removed] and realize not many of us really want to or care about your posts about how much you hate sims 3

3. I agree you should go get a life instead of just yelling and causing havic.

Reported! How dare u speak to me like that! I'm making a polite point, not to mention that her cutom title under her avatar says "Glued to my laptop!"

So Watch your moth Wind, so:

1) I don't play it at all, so I say if u spend more than 3hr, your wasting ur life!
2) Swearing, nice, that got u reported! Also, I'm warning new member to keep away from it, not to mention the some support I had here!

3) I have got a life, I'm just warning peeps of how bad it is & to save their money! simple!

Cheer,

Eagle

I think the game is a huge improvement overall compared to TS2.

I think people are afraid to ADMIT how bad The Sims 3 is. They waited so long for it and finally got a big disappointment and now they're in denial about it.

Guh.
You know bad mouthing anyone who posts here saying they like the game is stupid when you're on the Sims 3 EA forum.
Please stop being so rude to everyone with a different opinion to you. It's not nice.

Hmm, " I say if u spend more than 3hr, your wasting ur life!" I'm sure this accounts for a fair percentage of forum regulars here.

"Are you blind as well as stupid" to hannahdisiac.

Anyway, this threads gone a little OT.

Depends on how updated your driver is, whether it's an ATI or an NVidia, and frankly, how up to date the rest of your pc is.

I like the sims 3,
you should try and
look on the brightside
about the sims 3,
it's a great game but
takes a little getting
used to. It doesn't
sound like you gave
it much of a chance.

i think that if you used to have the sims 2 with loads of expansion packs it seems bad because you compare it to that. if you compare it the just the base game i thinks its alot better. i do agree that it is a bit overrated (especially about there being less focus on needs, there still is too much focus (and at least in the sims 2 there was a cheat for needs)), but its still an excellent game

If this thread can not remain civil then it will be closed.

Please allow others to have their opinions without jumping on them for it- and that goes both ways. Trying to bait others is also not acceptable.
