Mysterious Fridge

In one of my houses there's constantly flies buzzing round the fridge, i originally thought some food inside had gone off as that had happened before, but when i clicked on the fridge the option to remove spoiled food didnt appear, i deleted all the food inside it anyway, but the flies still buzz around it, so i decided to delete the fridge and get a new one, but when i tried to delete it said i couldnt because an item inside it was in use by one of my sims, which it wasnt, and the only thing in his inventory was his laptop, so i dont know what it means or how i can get rid of the fridge . . . any ideas?

Ctrl-shift C, and type in 'moveobjects on', then delete the fridge as you would normally do.
