Help With Graphics Cards/Chips

I wanna buy a laptop and play the sims 3 and spore will these 2 be good enough to play them and on what quality settings ?

The 8400M GS should run Sims 3 on medium.
8200M will probably have to use low.

If you want high, or at least very close to high settings, you need either nVidia 8600M GT or 9500M GT, or higher numbered cards than either of those (e.g. 8800 or 9600).
