I think it's really good all around, very easy to use and minimum lag for me. Loving being able to make my Sims look more like me than ever, and being able to add little things like streaks in hair colors and different shoes for each and every outfit makes a huge difference for me, it's the small things that count with a game like this in my opinion! Only a couple of small things to address so far-

It was slightly confusing for me at first in Build mode as it's quite different in terms of finding things compared the TS2, and also getting use to being able to customize anything, didn't even realize I could at first. xD

Sometimes the camera can go a bit funny and be a little bit too fast in moving around a lot, i.e go way off the screen when I only wanted to move a tad bit to the left.

I was hoping we could actually go into shops properly like we could on TS2, it would be nice but not essential, I do like the new options though, like "See Game" at the stadium.

Ultra speed should be a bit faster too, definitely much slower than it was previously.

All I can think of so far. Great work.

Why cant we place empty lots? or create our own neighbourhoods? Our sims can go out now....but we've lost a major aspect of the game.

I didn't know that, that is a bit harsh! I haven't tried doing it yet so had no idea.

Love it I would really speed up the time though, it does take a while if all your Sims are sleeping or at work/school. Other than that I've had no problems Great work EA! I'm impressed!

i think there is definitely a problem with the speed settings; i don't see how compromising speed for other features is meant to be 'part of the game'.

c-a-s is the best thing about the game so far, it's v absorbing

I got the game in the post today, and I have given it a good 3 hours so far :]

It runs a LOT better than The Sims 2 did on the same computer, so kudos for that.

I love the detail the actual sims have now, they look a lot more like real people. I especially love how they're eyes roll around, and scan the books that they read.

Sunset Valley and Riverview are gorgeous to look at, such detail to the landscape.

I love that my sims no longer need to go to the toilet constantly, and I've noticed that they have a lot more energy. It's nice to be able to actually go places without worrying about your sim suddenly needing a shower.

I'm also in love with the new interactions with other sims; it's so much more in depth now. The possibilities in conversations seem endless

I am a little bit dissapointed with the lack of clothes, however. I know that they are customisable, but there is only so much you can do with one shirt. I'm not majorly annoyed though, as I'm sure custom content will be popping up soon, and also the inevitable expansions will bring with them more and more additions.

Also, could ultra speed be... well, a little bit more ultra? When you're playing just one sim, waiting outside their work does get a little boring after a while.

All in all, very impressed so far Will leave more feedback if I think of something more!

been playing it all day, and so far it seems good, its working fine on my computer on the medium settings and i love CAST i like how i can cage the colour of anything now and im not restricted to only a few. i don't like the fact that we don't have to buy clothes for our sims though, i liked that part of the sims 2. i don't like the lack of objects though but im sure it'll be better when the expansions come out and custom content is available.

Good Things
- Switching tabs while going at a fast speed is much better than Sims 2.
- I really like the new interactions and each sim's special things, and the traits in general and what they add (not being limited to wishes based on a lifetime wish).
- CAST is cool, though a little confusing at first to get it to work. I am still trying to figure out how to save patterns for future use.
- I like clipping coupons and how the neat sims have the option to clean the house!
- Two thumbs WAY up on new trees, the big plants that aren't all the same size and most of all the awesome terrain paints! I totally love them!
- Fishing and collecting and the different things like that (and being able to get divorced) are all very cool.
- I really like the moodlets and how some last a lot longer than others unlike in Sims 2.

Bad Things
- The speed settings need worked on! Ultra speed is hardly different from 3 and this gets very annoying with sims sleeping and at work.
- I do not like being given only 5 lifetime wish options based on my traits.
- My #1 request : There REALLY needs to be the opportunity to make our own neighborhoods and more freedom creating community lots you can go into otherwise what is the point if the only place you can really visit and explore is a park or cemetary?
- Its okay that things take a little longer to get a promotion but I liked how in Sims 2 it told you how to do that, this is a little more ambiguous. So then this makes it very difficult to get money which brings me to my 2nd most important request: allow apartments! In Sims 2 it was nice, but in Sims 3 it would be heavenly to be able to start out as a young adult and rent instead of owning your own home and being able to have roommates to ease the burden since you don't make money fast.
- I don't know if it is my computer or what, but wallpapers and flooring looks a lot different as the thumbnail than on the walls. The rooms are so dark regardless of windows, it would be nice if this changed.
- I would like to be able to take a picture of a house for uploading to my fansite purposes without the grid and without having to move in a family (like hitting F5 in Sims 2) and can't figure that one out.
- It would be nice if it was easier to transition families.
- I don't know if it this way or not but in regards to free will, I want to be able to have the family I am playing at no or low and the rest of the neighborhood at high... I hope that is the way it is now but if not, that definitely needs to change!
- It would be nice to be able to change the height of different parts of the roof instead of all at once.
- Could we have stairs that have a base you don't see thru, just for aesthetic purposes?

Bad things may seem to outweigh good in this post but there are a lot more good - I just really want to emphasize the things I'd like to see changed!

You can, walls automatically appear underneath

I got the game today and have played non stop practically. High settings were quite laggy for me (but not too bad) so I just played on low because it was the fastest... it wasn't that bad actually.

I like playing with the premade families too. I played Claire Ursine for a little while and the first minute my game loaded onto her lot, she was moaning and her baby was on the floor. Even though she's poor she still has enough money to buy a crib but I had to buy one for her because she didn't have one! Then when the baby was in the crib, she took it out because it was crying. She went downstairs and put it on the floor then went to have a shower. (She did this several times) That's the funniest moment I've had so far lol.

The only complaint I have is about the ultra speed. It should be called ultra slow? I suppose I'll get used to it though... I havn't had any problems with Sims moving out yet either.

Overall it's a really good game and 1000 times better than the Sims 2 in my opinion.

ive found that to be anoying, there is like a little patch of light on the floor and thatsit even with 20,000 windows, and the only thing that lights the rooms are the lamps and the lights. they really need to fix that.

Well, I know that walls appear under the stairs but I did like how it was solid underneath them in Sims 2. I do like how you can recolor the walls so I'd like to keep that.

I've been playing it for the majority of the day and so far I can say that I love it. Not come across any bugs or anything I don't like so all in all, good job EA [insert thumbs up here].

I'm guessing it has to do with the fact it's seamless. I'm sure they've thought of this. They probably have a good explanation.

To the people saying the 4th speed is practically the same as the third, I find your lack of exploration humorous. Have you read the description? The fourth speed is the exact same as the third, it just speeds through current action, not out of control.
