Default Wow, I love The Sims 3 so much

I spent like the first hour or so making my family, they look so much like everyone still need to make us a house, or we will be homeless

Pro; First off, I would like to say how much fun this game is. Even though it's so much different from the other Sims games, it still has so many similar things to do. The setting, and the houses are beautiful! It doesn't even look like a computer game it's so pretty.

Relationships are amazing in this game. It's a lot more life time. It more difficult to get into a love relationship like last time, but that makes it more realistic. It's great how to you can choose for them to be a boyfriend/girlfriend or not.

The sims look awesome! They are so life time, and the traits are great. It great how you can change their clothes colors. It has so many things you can add on to an outfit too. Changing the colors of sofas, beds, tables, ect. is great. Objects can be like any color!

BIKES ARE SWEET! I think it was a great idea to put in bikes. Sims looks awesome riding them.

Making money in jobs are a bit harder, but it still gives it that realistic feel to it. Once they get up high in their career though, its pretty easy to make money.

Cons; I only have two problems. One, the speed settings. It's not very fun watching my sim sleep, or watching the building they work it. I going to try and fix the speed glitch though.
Another problem is moving my house. It took me awhile to figure how to change houses.

Sims do sleep for far too long. Or though it seems like that.

I really haven't found this a problem. I don't think it's that long. Taking a bath takes longer xD

I like how the sun sets and rises over time, much better than sims 2 where it just went dark at 6pm. Also visiting neighbours will make story telling much better! My town is quiet at the moment because i've just installed the game but i can't wait to see what stories i can create.

Does anyone else find the normal speed too fast, it counts the minutes in seconds speed. I am finding hard to try and plan things in the day since I have to work from 3pm to 9pm and have to do most things in the morning. Going to the toilet, having a shower and having breakie is like 2 hours gone. I rather the normal setting be a bit slower and the faster ones sped up a bit.

After having more time to play, I have a few more things to add....

While having a single mom I discovered that there was no longer the option for a nanny. This would be GREATLY appreciated to have back, as I can't not have her work. Either this or the option to have the babysitter on a regular basis (it'd be nice if that babysitter was cheaper too!).

I really like how the sun comes up in the windows, makes it very real - I would look forward to a seasons EP (but after a neighborhood builder and definitely after an apartment pack) and pets will really add to this as well!

I thought that traits were genetic, but I had a baby who came out with the athletic trait and both of my sims were FAR from that! So if they are genetic, maybe this was a fluke and if not... I'd like them to be.

It'd be great to have a prompt when my friends age or whatever. I randomly found out one of my other sims was now an elder and I had no idea :S

I am sure more will surface as I get into the game more.

Default My Sims 3 Suggestions....

Hi,

Not got game yet, hopefully tomorrow, some suggestions after mayn hours play on friends i think so far....

When i delibrately killed some sims to see what happened i am sure before game was released a few months back there was pictures showing Sims funerals, i thought there would have been an option to arrange a funeral and invite some other sims to funeral and they mourn at grave yard, if not i think this would be a nice addition, plus when a sim dies auto add a urn to the grave yard as nothing changes no matter how many sims die, you can add it yourself but for familys etc your not playing a urn dont appear at graveyard making the graveyard look unrealistic from other part of game as everything else lives like real life and grave yard doesn't change.

getting married, again have like in sims 2 one of those arches to get married under and all sims sit on seats and clap whilst you get married, in sims 3 my wedding was poor not one sim clapped and said anything.

Add a diving board for the swimming pool.

Also i thought in another thread that sims 3 should have prams maybe in the future so when baby is out with parents instead of them being dumped on the floor they are instead put in a pram with maybe an option to push back and forth whilst they chat and obviously to push pram.

Option to give baby up for adoption instead of using cheat/deleting baby etc.

Bring back the butler, i liked him for parties.

Option to hire a maid for one day only, i know you can dismiss them etc but be nice little addon so for example if you have a party you could call them to clean the party mess up without auto coming back every day to clean.

Seasons ... Made game more realistic, love to have this as first expansion for Sims 3, and vacation (maybe now it seamless neigbourhood) we could fly by plane and see it happen .

Go inside buildings and watch sims go about working, shopping etc

EDIT: forgot...

more hair styles, clothing, more modern furniture, wallpapers and clothes, omg the sims 3 has posh houses but furniture etc is very old looking.

loads more will come obviously for us all but for now that what i would wish for in the future.

Regards,
genieuk

I agree. I wish something would pop up in the corner telling you... or your Sim automatically gets invited to the party and you can accept/decline.

Also does aging actually work? I want it off but I'm not sure if it's like the story progression or not.

Pro's

Gardening & Placing Plants love how they can merge into each other
Colour wheel and customise everything ( well nearly everything )
Dragging walls
Traits
Wishes
Open neighborhood
Spa
Sunrise & Sunset
Stars
The list is endless

Con's

Not enough hair styles
Not enough clothing
Not enough head sizes i.e width of heads could be less
I would like to see my sim get in the car and drive off instead of the car appearing out of no where

But nearly all of the above will be added in time this game is epic.

memories are needed now so we can see what our sims have been upto whilst we have been away. even if it just said in a list

had baby tom
married john
got promoted to doctor
met dave
became romanticly interested with dave
devorced john
went steady with dave
et cetera

Does story progression actually work? I've heard some people complain without explaning.

Any response would be helpful, even "dunno"

Just a quick bug i've encountered.

It has said my sim is disgusted from disgusting food for about a week now, and for the last 6 days or so it has said 10m left.

Edit - Ignore that, just my stupidity, had been carrying a plate of fish and chips in my inventory for a week. Quality, Horrifying.

Can I ask a question here?

Where is the Hipp Family located..I can't find them anywhere
It's one of the families I was looking forward too and also where are the Zaverez family..(the one who had the baby left of their doorstep?)

Thanks xx

Overall I love the game..the only thing annoying me a lot is how slow the fast foward options are..they should fix this in a patch

No other problems and I love the game

I love the game. I found a bug or a glitch when creating a sim, when you select glasses, the lenses seems to flash a green/orange colour. Which is abit annoying But overall I love it!

I agree about the memories - that would be very nice! In my game story progression does work - I left my sim to create his future wife and once he moved in I found out he had gotten a promotion or two and worked on his writing skills - though I am not sure what else. This is where the memory thing would be very nice.

I don't know if I missed it or not but teens being able to sneak out would be good - my teen went out for a jog and ended up getting arrested...

Yes after reading last comment i think there should be more teen interactions,

the parents should be able to tell them off if they stay out late, my teen sim stayed out until 4AM and i had no option to tell him off for it. I mean in real life if i had a teen stay out to that late good god i would worry to death and punish them, ground them for doing wrong or something lol
