Eye-Spy Sims 3 Promotion Game :)

There seems to be a little tension on a couple of threads still about the Sims 3 delay from Febuary to June. I personally was secretly pleased because I know I would have been playing on it 24/7 pretty much so it means that I can atleast wait until I break up for holidays from Uni and not have to worry about stuffing up my course.

Now as most, if not all of you are aware (or at the very least, should be aware) of is that EA stated that they wanted to delay the game to June to build up awareness of Sims 3 and promote the game more so the purpose of this thread is to add a little light hearted fun to it.

With everyone nower days having at the very least with them a camera phone, I challenge you all to hunt high and low for promotional material of Sims 3 - no matter how big or small the thing is, whether it be on the side of a building or the side of a bin, I want you to take a picture of it and post it on this thread.

I will sift through all of your posts and any new material that any of you find I will post on my 2nd post (see below). Happy Hunting Simmers!

Rules:

The picture doesn't have to be taken by yourself but you do have to list the source of where it came from if it is not your own picture.
NO FAKES - I don't want anyone photoshopping the Sims 3 logo on to the side of a dog or anything like that

There is also this one located near the Golden Gate Bridge

So far they are only showing up on the west coast though.

Both of those are from Ca. Maybe that is the only place they will be seen although I don't think that is a good marketing strategy if that is what they do. I live on the East Coast and haven't seen any here either. Billy Mays is supposed to be doing a mini informercial type thing for the Sims 3 also, but I haven't seen that either, although to be fair I don't watch a lot of TV.

If the UK doesn't get advertised in I swear to God I will personally grab the EA execs by the throat drag them over here and have them spray paint every wall in the UK with adverts then take a free copy of TS3

when EA said they were going to create awareness, i thought they would not only mean including the UK and any other place not in USA but also placing them on other places such as sides of bins, at bus stops, on buses, in newspapers/magazines...not simply on the sides of huge buildsings lol.

remember people, if you see any sims 3 promotional material, take a picture of it and post it here.

Like a lot of people said promotional purposes was hard to swallow. Just hadn't finished the game, why they weren't honest beats me.

im sure for those of you who also live in the uk you might be wondering why im in on a monday night when its the holidays.
answer: i forgot my card, so didnt have any money and have just had to return home sober and anything but amused and so my evening has been bent over and had it up the tailpipe. not impressed.

anywhoo, now that i got that out my system, can we safely assume that in the ENTIRE world there are simply 2 billboards advertising Sims 3. Must have cost EA an absolute fortune to set those up! maybe they made a few people redundant with this recession and all lol? To cut costs are they mobile billboards? Will they peel off the tiles on the side of the building and rearrange them somewhere else in the world? Will the builders who reassemble the tiles instead make a rude message out of them? How will they transport the solid billboard?

So many questions left unanswered. If any of you can, then be my guest.

In the UK, I have not seen any evidence except from on the BBC it stated that they delayed it to change the DRM. Apparently it was online verification, and they delayed it so that they could change it back!

I have to agree that there is practically NO advertising for TS3 going on in the UK at all, I've seen nothing unfortunately.

I'm from Scotland and like many of you guys from the rest of the UK, i've seen nothing. Sure, walk into any GAME store and they'll be something related to TS3 but what about everywhere else? Maybe we'll see more closer to the time, but that kinda defeats the purpose of the delay. Not that the delay bothered me in the first place.
