Thanks for posting the article. It didn't take long for this to happen:

Quote:
We took a deep breath, cracked our knuckles, and typed in the cheat code to get additional simoleans for free about four or five times, and then used the money to buy a new guitar, as well as a computer, and a telescope, which popped up on our sim's ongoing wish list.

>>We took a deep breath, cracked our knuckles, and typed in the cheat code to get additional simoleans for free about four or five times<<

I just don't get why so many people want to use cheats to get money??? Having goals to work towards and the satisfaction of EARNING those things after working towards them is the primary source of FUN in games? Doesn't just having everything instantly with no effort get boring in an hour or two and leave you with nothing left to look forward to?

I know different people have fun in different ways, and I try to respect people's differences, but my God I just can't understand WHY people would want to cheat in a game that you don't even need to "win"?!?!? heh

i agree i never use any cheat when i play ... i think it takes the fun out of it ... i mean i like the challenge ....... i think thier should be a loaning system in the game (banks) that you or family are responaisble to pay back ...... that how real life works . i mean bank are possible right .

I agree, but when you start using the cheats (maxmotives!) you get ADDICTED! I loved playing without the cheat but i kept on using it!

I know, i've had games ruined for me because I got addicted to cheats and used them for even the smallest of things.

I will try as hard as I can not to use cheats sims 3.

When they mentioned using the cheat code it kind of annoyed me especially when you first start out, I don't see the point in the cheats, unless it's a dire situation where your sim is uber tired and uber hungry and he wants to do both so he does neither, thats the only time I ever use a cheat.

I thought it was a humorous article. Not to much new info, but thanks for posting. :]

I've never really use cheats to much either, I find half the fun in working towards the more expensive items in the game.

I never use cheats either, but I think they wanted to see how much they could do in the game since they had a limited amount of time to play.
