the sims 3 on Mac

Does anyone know if the Sims 3 will be released on the Apple Mac and if so when is it expected to be out?

I believe the game is being shipped for PC & Mac, as was Spore. You can install either version from the same disc.

Becky is right, the disk is functional on both systems.
