The Sims 3 Minimum Requirements/Is this computer good enough to run The Sims 3?

Thanks Rohann and Nunchukaninja I'm downloading the windows 7 now and am gonna install when it's downloaded.Rohann yes I went on Nvidia website and downloaded the update but it still is showing as 3 pixel sahders.So could it be because my os is xp not vista? like Nunchukaninja explained.Thanks you both so much for the help!!!

Well really I have no idea since I don't use Vista or a shader model 4 card, Nunchukaninja clearly does, so he knows best

Yes it meets the requirements, if you want to run on high graphics it would definitely be worth upgrading the graphics card if you can though

i did it a couple of days ago everything is above the minimum apart from the cpu only barely im sure it will be ok maybe a little slow

Im confused. It says you need 1gb of RAM but I only have 512mb and it says I pass the RAM
I have done the test 5 times and it said the same everytime! :S

It's a good spec, but if you want high graphics settings you almost certainly need a faster graphics card

Those all meet the requirements.
In order of speed I think (I may be wrong though), it goes HD 3650 (fastest), Hd 4570, HD4350, HD4330 (slowest). You can't upgrade graphics on a laptop and to do it on a desktop you need to check you have the right type of slot available. For the cards you've posted, that's a PCI-E (PCI-Express) slot.

Well the game says you need 1gb...either we have something really good that counters the lack of ram, or "Can You Run It" is being stupid.

Okay well i did that "can you run it?" thing and i passed ever thing else but failed my CPU Speed; which meant i failed in all, so do you have any idea if am going to be crying when i buy the sims 3 in 3 days with these specs ??

Your processor speed should be OK, but to play the game on Vista, the requirement is 1.5GB RAM (that's about 1500MB, you have only 894MB). You could upgrade your RAM, then the game should run, although probably on lower settings.
