Default About to go buy sims 3 but want to make sure!

Is this okay to play sims 3?

I have a Dell xps m1530 with:

Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU T5550 @ 1.83 ghz Processor

4GB RAM

NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GS

And for storage/memory how much do i need? and is that from my like C Drive storage or from my like physical memory?

Also, i have a passport external harddrive, do u think it would help if i downloaded sims 3 partly on the external harddrive then plugged it in everytime i gamed? can i do that?

Please respond ASAP, anything helps even if u cant answer everything!!

I think NO would be the safe answer to this...sorry, the game is fairly demanding and the graphics even on low are struggling on systems with have decent cards...I would recommend buying a new one sorry. I know thats not what you want to hear but it will be better so you can start thinking about buying a new one at some point.

Your video card is to do with the graphics so no matter how much you delete it won't work im afraid.

It may work but I think you'll have problems, like maybe it will lag and possibly crash, I can't tell for sure.

Is your card on the supported list?

I may be wrong though!
I don't have much knowledge on it. I do think you should consider saving up for a new graphics card because you're bound to experience some problems, just how bad they'll be I don't know.

You can buy a decent graphics card quite cheap these days too.

it's not because the people who are telling you it won't work are just doing it to be horrid :-)

They are just trying to let you know of the real possibility that your card may not work and to save you tears in the long run.

Quick question: how can I tell if my graphics drivers are up to date?

I remember downloading some fairly recently.

Im just wondering, if I ever tried to install TS3 with an NVIDIA GeForce MX 4000, would it just reject it or possibly play it?
Especially if i dont really want to use the different pattern things?
Please help!

If it does run it will run very poorly. It also needs to support pixel shader 2.0 or it wont run at all.

Default Minimum requirements mac graphics?

May I ask a Mac question?
I have an Intel GMA X3100 graphics card in my MacBook and I'm worried that it wont support the game.
Or it will and it just be frustratingly slow.
Any idea?

just wondered if it will be worth upgrading my ram as a few people have told me too.

my mac is only a month old and has 2 gb at the min.. would it be advisable to upgrade to 4gb?

and my graphics card is on the list but at the bottom so does this mean it is a rubbish one..(nvidia geforce 9400)

sorry for all the questions but i dont know alot about computers lol

I have 2 GB ram and I'm not worried about that at all.
I think 2 GB should be fine to be honest.
