Might be. But in The Sims 1 & The Sims 2 we have always got a little pet in the game, Hamsters.. Don't remember any else, but Yea im sure we will get some kind of animal to start off with.

Then the expansions come, thats when Dogs, Cats and so on come out i guess.

I loved the massive square aquariums to have for the 'posh posh' Sims and mansions. Also at restaurants.

maybe they'll be more in-depth with the pets now, i.e different snakes, lizards, birds, fish *tropical, marine, brackish*

just think of the graphics for the pets, i mean the sim people look great but imagine the pets, i thought they looked really good for sims 2 let alone sims 3!!!
