Shame.
![]() Means I'm going to have to let go of The Sims 2 (I've got so far! ) and spend money ( !) on this. ![]() Quote:

Thanks very much EA for organising yesterday, and to Ben Bell for showing us The Sims 3.
The game truly does look fantastic, I couldn't really pick any faults with what I saw (besides the absence of weather but I'm sure we'll see that at some point!) Hope to see you guys again soon! |

I think the differing factor between the clips that they have supplied and screenshots too, is this: In the clips and pics, the interface is either invisible or is stationary. Until we see the way we (the end user) can interface with the game, it will not really appeal as much as it will do later on. The pics that have been released shows ben interfacing with the program and so it shows us that we can actually interact with the product.
When clips of gameplay are released, i personally will get excited because it means (to me) that i will soon be interacting with this game just how the producers are, which get me excited. All we need is some action reaction type gameplay clips and the game will begin to appeal to people because it will look more like a game, and less like a demonstration of the engine and mechanics that TS3 is built on. Whew. That was long winded. Joe. |

I'd best start saving up. I made myself promise I would not buy The Sims 3 no matter what and that I'd cope with The Sims 2.
Come release day, I'll be kicking myself for breaking that promise. It looks really good. I need to get past Christmas first though. Why is it going to seem AGES away from release day and then before we know it, we're all playing the game and going 'oooo', 'ahhh', 'wow' etc.

I did see a building with a white cross in a blue circle, i assume that was the hospital? I spotted that when Ben was scrolling across the neighbourhood to show us his house that he made.

Hmm... Impressive. I hope the game will give us enough means for modding the objects or hairs. The only downside is still the whole neighborhood getting old without us allowing it.

Looking brilliant! Now in 16 hopefully my parents will let me go to one of the conventions in london if ther eis one in the new year!! This should be really good. I hope we can go to hospitals with our sims as that would be great too! I know your probably all get asked this loads by this is my first time in this forum. Any ideas whether the sims 3 will be power hungry, the graphics do look nice but shadows will probably be off im guessing unless they have managed to set it up much like Spore where theres a LOD unlike 'TS2' xD. Anyway can't wait for this game and I will keep checking back here for more information!
