According to this article, the sims 3 is going to be available for (legal) download online. Would you rather download it, or own a CD?

Store, definitely. If d/l goes wrong and you forget to put it on a disc (defeats the purpose anyway), then you're stuffed.

I'll buy mine from a shop. There's nothing quite like that feeling of holding a new game in your hands and you wanting to do nothing more than race home, lock the door, close the blinds and install the damn thing.
I think physically going into a shop and receiving it on the day adds to the overall experience of the game.

Definitely a SHOP! I agree with IllusiveSpatula, it's awesome carrying the box with you and if you're like me, read the guide whenever you're not playing hehe

Store. If the game doesn't work for some reason or if something goes wrong its easier to take back and swap for a working one. Plus I like to install/uninstall games I have when I want to play them or don't want to it will be easier having a CD. Also, if something happens to the computer its on and I lose it. Waste of money xD

I agree with IllusiveSpatula too. I like holding the games in my hand, looking at the back of the box, reading the manual over and over, putting the CD in. It makes me feel like I've accomplished something. LOL
I think the digital download version is just another way to get your money. If your game goes wonky from a bad download or conflicting EP, you can simply reinstall the game if you have a physical copy of it. But if you have a downloaded version of it, you have to buy it all over again. Same goes for any What if? situations with TS3 that we may have. |

I'd much prefer going to a shop and preordering mine however I won't physically be going to the shop to collect it as Game send it out in the post haha xD. Downloading it will most likely have some issue to it in my opinion. |

Some make good reads, they make an attempt to inject some humour into them. Others try to immerse you in the game's world, usually fairly successfully, they're always worth a read. Also, if you've bought it in the shop and it comes with a manual to start with, you don't have to bother with stupid PDF files on the disc.

there are always things happening to my computer, the one I am using now has been completely whiped 2 times. Having to burn the downloaded game onto a disc would defeat the purpose pretty much.
I cant see why anyone would want to download it, you got not back up that way, no box to add to the collection or any other visual proof that you own the game when your computer is off.
