Default The "First" Official Release Date

Credits to snootysims for finding this.

There has been a press release on ea announcing the release date for sims 3, 20 February, which is exactly 6 months from now, check out the full press release here. and one more thing.

There will be an official sims 3 collecters addition that includes ...

The Sims 3 Game for PC
The Sims Plumbob USB Drive with matching Green Carabiner
Exclusive In-Game Italian-Style Sports Car
Tips and hints guide
The Sims 3 Plumbob Stickers

The Sims 3 in Stores February 20, 2009: Financial News - Yahoo! Finance

oh and credits to snootysims ;]

::Snooty Sims::

But, my guesses is that it will be held back till april - ish time as do most games get held back.

A little slow?

As I said in the other thread, terrible news. I hope it gets held back so they can improve it, and make the Sims look slightly more normal. It's Sims, not Spore.

The Sims look fab! As they said, they're not focussing on the sims as much. They're focussing on gameplay.

I dunno. You do realize the game was 60% finished back in February?

I knew it was mostly completed, yes.

That doesn't change my opinion on it, however.

I'm not even sure if I want to buy it anymore, which is a shame, as I've followed this series since the release of The Sims 1.

Same month as Empire: Total War.

So I know what I'll be buying that month.

Better not do that until the release date, you won't be able to play Sims 3, if you know what I mean.

I don't think I'll bother buying it straight away.

For a start, as Becky mentioned, I don't really think that the sims look 'simmy' enough. Then there's the fact that it would most likely kill my computer! And also, I'm not stopping my legacy that I have going at the moment and I won't have them finished my February!

That is sooo not one of the reasons I'm so reluctant to let go either.

They should focus on both the aspects, people don't want to be controlling things that look like they came out of a cartoon made in 5 minutes.

.. and for the record, they look anything but "fab".

My non-existant dog could have made better Sims.
