Can you make neighborhoods on Sims 3

loads of people a saying that you won't be able to place lots on the current town and you can't make a new town. Is that true

?

well u can place new lots (home lots) i am not sure about the community lots tho. and NO in the bass game we are unable to create new neighbourhoods in it but it is said that there will be a ep that comes out after the release dat that will let you create an new neibourhood

i think it is in the base game..
i went on TheSims3.com or something like that, and it says everyone can customise everything, and also it said you can choose were you live, so you probably can make your own neighbourhood, im not really sure though, =S

Can you make your own houses though? And I'm confused about one thing.. you know when you play with one family, can you make another one? I mean.. they say you can zoom in onto one sim and then zoom out onto the whole neighbourhood, well you're still with that family, do you just exit it and make another family?

It's already been announced that they will be releasing a program after the base game's release to enable neighbourhood making.

hopefully this time we wont need to make our own neighbourhoods in another game that is for a completely different audience. Few sims players would play simcity games. I personly find the simcity games very dull.
