I have to say that whilst I do love the picture, after looking at it again I am slightly disappointed by the graphics once again - the woman's hair is still out at a funny angle like it would be in Sims 2, rather than hanging straight down like it should be. I know it is picky, but the way that longer hair ends up sticking out in funny directions or places it shouldn't be always irritates me, and I was hoping they would have worked on this in Sims 3, so that hair actually moves how it should.

well, i guess hair movement would be complicated, but it would be funny if it were windy and rainy and it affected someones hair!

And notice the variety of things scattered around the floor and the tables... wonder if they can actually use all of them or theyre jus part of the decorative objects Theres even a tissue box ...hope they can blow their nose when they cry or somethin lol And the view from the window is just spectacular!

Btw if you notice the art deco vase behind the sofa, to the left? Its the same one from TS2. And the typical green stool on which the kid is standing didnt change either

Must be a main pre made family, because the little boy and the man has cropped up alot on many pictures.
I like how the sims have painted the sim on the sofa at the angle they see her though! Good, simple but effective thought EA Well done!

lol the guy on the left looks like he hates the girl
cause even for a stickfigure she doesnt look very attractive..

and just look at the lighting!
It looks like a normal room as if the sun has almost gone down and is in a specific direction
people are being real fussy over the graphics but surely the gameplay should make up for it, yes?

This is a great pic! I wonder how your sim will be able to paint a pic. Will it be like in Sims 2 when you had to move that square around to get the perfect shot, or was that what happened when you took a photo? mmm its been a while since I last played sims 2.

i think that for all the people moaning, they will still go out and play the game. if you dont like how it looks, just dont get it!
if you play it and then dont like it, then moan - but the rest of us are getting excited

i think this looks brilliant!

Funny stuff.

I'm not a nitpicker by any means, the game overall looks wonderful, but I do tend to agree with some of the gripes. I imagined the graphics would've been a bit better than what I've seen lately, especially with hair (I also dislike the hair in TS2 and was praying for a change in TS3) but I'm more specifically disappointed that we're seeing so many TS2 objects popping up everywhere.

I do keep saying though that it is early days and I still 100% support the EA development team on a job well done so far.

I think everyone is a little excited - but we have to moan or tell EA what we like and don't like. Otherwise, how are they meant to know what we want in The Sims 3?

Anyway, this is a forum. People express and discuss here, and moaning just happens to be a part of that.

Anyway, the screenshot looks decent enough. Not too fond of the hair, but it looks a little bit better than The Sims 2.

I like how the canvas size can be different now, I wonder if you can customise it when you choose to paint something, or if it depends on the sim's skill
