I agree with majority, they announced it far too early on. For all of those TS2 vets, remember the waiting and the rumours and the waiting s'more? I think TS3 will be worse! I had sleepless nights over TS2, I'm trying to stop myself from being overhyped the second time around. :P I agree with the original poster, it does get tiring constantly thinking about a game and dealing with speculation.

I had got the sims 1 because it was dirt cheap- which was a couple of months before the sims 2 came out. (if you look now, the sims 1 costs about 5 dollars. the sims 2 price is also much lower these days.) I had only played the sims for a couple of months, yet I was going crazy waiting for the sequel.
Now I think about hearing the first bit of news on the sims 3, and simply dying. Reading this article over and over, and wondering what the game could possibly look like. I thought I would explode if I had to wait the whole two years for it to come out. I hate to wait. |

I was just like it when I played sims, and sims 2 was coming out. I didn't bother playing sims, because I knew something bigger and better was coming out soon, and I was planning new sims for it.
Now, I don't really care at the moment. When a date is set, and there is more info, then yes. Right now, im looking forward to AL |

i would have been fine not knowing, gone through the rest of this year, as i have so many things to keep my occupied at the moment, and once it got to after christmas thats when they should have anounced it.
tht way its the same year. the day its realease date is revealed, im reserving that game - even if it comes out of my wedding fund :/ but on the other hand, they could have wanted to hear what everyone wanted from it to see if they were on the right track... im apparently obsessive too... i am struggling to wait to the sims apartment (but thats just becuase from the sims 1, i've wanted more then anyhting (apart from pets of course, cuz i love my lil doggie anad being able to make a sim him) ios to stick them in a block of flats with other sims and have roomies nad stuff!!!
