D'ya mean the genie lamp in TS1? LOL, I loved that too, my sims house would always get a flood LOL! The genie lamp in FreeTime is abit weird though LOL, and now I have a glitch where everytime I ring up the matchmaking service, the gypsy comes round and gives me the lamp LOL. I got like, 5 lamps in one of my families LOL

Anyways, I hope that they include the genie in some way in TS3, that would be pretty cool

I liked both the Genies, but we didn't need one in sims 2 because of the wishing wells from seasons and bon voyage. The genie from the sims 1 always killed my sims.

The genie lamp in TS2 is nothing compared to the one from TS1.

I agree, it was a disappointment in the sims2. It looked a lot better but I liked the bad effects in the sims1.

It was just too simple in the sims 2, I wanted to see bad effects. Like a sim wishing for eternal life could become a vampire if it goes wrong, or a sim that wishes for a pet turning into a wherewolf, or a relative turning into one.

The genie could also freeze your pool, burst all lights, wake all ghosts, magically summon a pizza or other food, give a sim a magic carpet thats used like a car, turn a sim into a statue for some time, freezing their needs and age, making a bald sim hairy, giving a sim another age group, turning a cheap car into a sportscar, giving or taking skills, changing personalities and interests, etc. All kinds of random freaky things.

But they had to do it the EAsy way for the sims2, without any imagination or creativity and with little effort put into it.

Maybe they should just hire me for the ideas. I got plenty.
