Will there be pets? (And expansions?)

Just wondering if this new sims 3 will have all the features that the previous expansions provided, eg pets. Pets are really annoying at times, but i think the sims just wouldn't be the same without them. Does anyone know about what features from expansions the new sims has? Holidays would be good...

I think it should be obligatory to have pets in Sims 3 as in TS2 it was such a hit. I loved the idea and if it wasn't included it would be somewhat ludicrous.

Maxis want to make The Sims seem more real, so Sims living in a world without pets would just seem strange.

There is simply no way TS3 will encompass every single expansion pack from TS2 - if it did, the quality of the game would undoubtedly suffer.

I'd rather they make us wait for EPs than try to cram everything into the base game. That way, we can be sure that the features added through the EP will be of huigh quality, and the developers would have set aside time to work on them.

I'm hoping pets are released at a later date in an EP. I'd rather they do it right and spend ages on it than cram them into the (already feature-packed) base game.

i hope there will be pets, weather, and business they are the ones i find the best, i don't think there will be cars cause why do you need the if you can walk staight out onto the street.
does EA look at these forums? or are we wasteing our time?

EA never look to people like us. we just wasting time. they never hear our complaints like what they do about securom in sims 3

Hey there is this picture of the sims and in the background there is parked cars, it might be fake, but doesn't look it through. so there might be cars. the picture is some sims in a park like thing and a fountain than the cars in the distance.

I assume pets and cars will be in the Sims 3, as they were so popular in sims 2. As Kriusic says, EAUK_Aurora passes on our ideas and demands(!) to the appropriate people so your ideas are heard, even if they then choose to not act upon them.

Personally i wasn't bothered about pets, but i wanted the extra stuff that came with it.
I liked the uni expansion, but that's probably because it came out just before i went to uni and i played it through my degree lol!

There was witches, magic spells,etc
I don't remember; were there Mermaids and Fairies?
If EA wants to make Sims 3 expansion later,something like making magic, i'd like to see mermaids and fairies besides other creatures like draculas, werewolves..

Judging by pictures released on the Sims 2, witches will be included in Apartment Life, as well as cauldron and other Makin' Magic elements. Nothing official has been released though, so watch the relevant thread in the Sims 2 forum for news.

You can currently download mermaids on the Sims exchange, I downloaded a few just out of curiosity!

i think they should have pets in the base game, and seasons is already in the base game. Then maybe others could be released as expansion packs. And just because we haven't seen picturse with pets in yet doesn't mean there won't be because remember they are still developing it. So who knows what could be in the pictures that are yet to come.
