Height adjustment would be no problem at all if sims bodies were generated and managed procedurally, like the creatures in Spore. But the main differences between Sims2 and 3 are ones of gameplay. I think they might work on the mechanics/physics side of it more for Sims 4, if we ever get that far.

I want some more info on the progress!!!!!
Everytime i read info on the sims 3 the same thing disappionts me: the confirmed ages, so it seems they're not doing any gradual aging or no smaller age groups like young adult, adult and middle aged; and for some reason they didnt mention toddlers!!! not happy at all. This better change, and there is hope because i don't think they've even started working on the other age groups yet, all i seem to see in the screenshots are young adults.

Well my guess is that you'll need a computer that's a little better. With the seamless neighborhood your computer is gonna need to be able to handle more houses and sims on the screen than before. Also, the sims themselves look a little better graphics-wise.
As for myself, I'm kind of hoping they include apartments in the base game, seeing as they're already working on them now anyway for the Apartment Life EP. It looks like it'll bring in some cool new gameplay elements. Also, a lot of people wind up making so much money they don't know what to do with it. With an apartment, it'll be a way to keep the money level at a point where it still seems like you're accomplishing/saving up for something. |

Welcome to the forums
![]() We do not know the spec as yet. If your pc runs Sims 2 well then I would think that you should not worry too much.

I find it strange that EA is creating a game, which is graphically better than the sims 2, has a whole seamless neighborhood with 91 lots and doesn't have loading times, whereas the Sims 2 had big loading times, even on pretty good computers.
Yet they expect it to work on older computers. ![]() Must be a pretty good new engine they have for the game. |

I'm going to go with late December just to be extremely pessimistic. They're putting it out so it will be available for Christmas :P
Honestly. Before EA gives out a date it's anybody's guess. And I would say though, the longer it takes before things get updated on the page the further into the future it is. They want to get us primed for buying of course, so more intense campaigning the closer it gets. |
