From what I gather from reading the articls on here they have already been working on some of it,well why would they give a preview of the game to magazines if they hadn't started work on it already? ![]() Maybe the date could change,we don't know,or maybe they just want to hear some feedback on what they have already done, and are going to put some suggestion we have made into the game. |

I hope I don't have to buy a new laptop just so I can play the Sims 3 on it! Don't get me wrong, I'm so excited about The Sims 3, but I don't feel that it is right if we all have to buy new computers/laptops just for a new game.
I hope that Maxis don't make the overall size of the game too large, so that everyone can have a chance of going on this game, afterall, it does look amazing! |

People need to realize that the lifespan of a computer is small, very much so. If publishers thought of those who didn't want to upgrade their machines, then we'd never move forward in the games. This would be a carbon copy of the Sims 2. And it's not like it's coming out next week. You have more then likely over a year to save up a bit of money to buy upgrades, or a whole new machine if you are not computer savvy.
Five dollars a day(or whichever currency you use). Bam, that's 1825 buckaroos in a year. More then enough to upgrade a machine.

Heh heh! I love your adaptation on the MasterCard ad. I actually have the same look when I discovered that there was no highways in SimCity Societies.

Concerning PC spec...

So, it doesn't seem that you will need to splash out on the most recent computers, with quad core processors and whatnot. Also, this website seems good for Sims 3 info.

"But you can save the Nhood into different slots so that you can create multiple storylines."
I think this is going to be our way around having one family age while we're playing a different family. If this works the way I think it's going to, then it'll be rather interesting because we'll be able to see how one family progresses while we're not controlling them, as compared to what they do while we do have control. This has actually made me more excited
