Speculation about price and release dates are pointless at this stage, in my opinion. We won't know until EA says so, so let's just enjoy the excitement for now and focus on the important things, like the new hairstyles and facial expressions! If you're that concerned about price, just think about the new releases out now, it probably won't be much different to that, so for Aussies I'd say AU $100, give or take.

In regards to NZ/Aus release, I'm banking it won't be much different to that of US/Europe, The Sims 2 was released days apart, I believe.

EA did confirm that it will be playable on computers that can play TS2. Obviously graphics won't be high on these computers, I would assume.

I don't want other sims to grow up or marry when I'm not with them!!!
I try to get round all the familys in the neighbourhood and play with them for sertain amount of time! but does that mean when I come round to playing with them again would they have marryied off to someone I didnt want them to marry??

everything else sounds fine but thats just terrible.

I'm worried that all my other sims will die while I'm playing with different ones.

Default Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo ooooooooooooooo!

Maybe, what they are planning on doing (and what they should do) is that non playable characters like townies and school friends will grow and do things and marry etc - the whole point so that school friends etc grow up with you and you don't lose them - but surely, playable, clickable characters in houses that you may or may not have put there, surely they won't do stuff without you? That would be sooooo wroooonnggggg. The whole point of a sim god game like this is that you want complete control over everything, and The Sims players are particularly obsessive (I include myself in that! ), micro-managing everything the way you want it - what would be the point if you can carefully orchestrate everything only for it to be ruined by a half-wit sim doing what it wants to do? (Free will is overrated lol). Otherwise what are we going to do? switch back and forth between characters? Save different characters in different lots? But then they can't interact properly! There has to be a way of cryogenically freezing your characters unless you are directly controlling or interacting with them! Please EA tell me, please tell me it isn't so!

yeah im quite obsessive too - everything has gotta go to plan and this is ganna make everything go crazy! might be a nice change - maybe its a feature you can turn on/off like the aging in sims 2?

Yeah, I don't see why you guys are just now figuring this out. This was like the first thing EA said about TS3 and it's the main focus of the game, just how the generations and aging concept was with TS2. I think/hope that you'll be able to have an option to control it somehow. Like in TS2, if you didn't want aging, you could simply turn it off with a cheat, but I don't know how they'll do this with the seamless neighborhood since it affects other aspects of the game.

yes... In one of the fanday reviews they said that there'll be a cheat code to pause an entire household, so if you want to pause the aging in all the houses you'll have to pause one by one...

If I'm correct, when TS3 comes out, it will be in a holiday! So I can play it for like 96 hours non-stop! =D
