For your elderly sims just to die! I mean im doing a legacy and my aldult sim became an elder with their life goal completed and sometimes when i look at her life bar it says she right close to dieing then the next thing i know she still has a fourth of her life bar left! She even lived out her husband who grew up with his accomplishment filled. Shes 80 years old and a waste of space and she just plays the piano in a basement, its just sad.

Yes I know exactly what you mean! I run out of things for my elders to do, it's especially frustrating when they've achieved their lifetime wish and they're stuck with a long life lol
And they seem to have more spare time than adults since they wake up so early! I try to turn them into babysitters for legacy families I also put them in charge of gardening fruits and veggies They're also in charge of making all meals so they become excellent cooks To sum up, they basically become a house worker but useful I suppose

I usually leave my Elders to do what they like. I'd give them a nudge every once in a while if they were like, playing chess until their bladder was near exploding or whatever. I've had a few Elders that have been my favourite Sims.
Like a Sim you watched being born, watched parented and schooled, watched go steady, put through college, got married had kids, grew old... taught grandkids to walk, talk, and use the potty. Boosted other Sims' traits by encouraging and stuff. Kinda got near the end and I was sorry to see 'em happily take the drink from the reaper and shoot off leaving a platinum gravestone behind. I always thought the last EP in the series would be Elder oriented. Making the players want to play Elders just try out everything the expansion had to offer. A few modes to keep the Elders as entertaining as every other lifestage. Not to be though. They ain't that bad. Essentially just adult Sims with weak bladders.

![]() I used to have my elder Sims do a lot of novel writing in their later days.

I have wanted Elders to die too!
![]() The more you achieve for your sim - the longer they will live! I tend to have my elders (near death) stay at home (albeit have a part-time job) rather than visit hobby lots or go downtown or on holiday. Like Latinasteph says - keep them busy! ![]() If your Elder sims are 80 days old, they only have another three to four days left to live (in my experience). Whatever you do, if your sim has the genie lamp, don't select the option to cheat death as it reduces their age by three days like the Elixir of Life.

Its kind of funny cause my elderly sim just ruins everyones lives. Before I invited the headmaster over for dinner once and i click on her to answer the door and i went around to the other sims to check on them, then i see she hasnt answered the door and shes sitting in her granny pants watching tv, then the headmaster says he does not think the daughter should not be in this institution. So now they all have bad memories all because of her! Btw she is finnaly close to dieing!!

I don't like Elders - they don't have as many options, and it's basically just waiting for them to die. The only use they are to me is earning, cleaning and growing stuff!
Nicky, writing novels are a fabulous idea!
