Default Does anyone else miss The Sims 2?

I know I do. I just feel that TS2 is better than TS3 and I wish they would make more expansions and continue the TS2. I feel that TS2 base game was a lot more fun than TS3 base game.

You Thoughts? =]

Wish they would make more expansion?! umm hello?! the game has only just come out lol and a new expansion pack is imminent for TS3

TS2 is only better because of the amount of stuff there is like items, clothes etc

i've been playing TS3 for quite a bit this week and i think its way better than TS2.. the open neighbourhood is so much better than being confined to just one lot.. instead you can jog around the whole place or run from one end to the other.. if thats your thing XD

I think Robsimsplayer meant more expansions for the Sims2.

I love all the sims games; they all have different gameplay aspects.

For me, the Sims2 is probably my favourite because of the amount of things your sims can do as well as the objects, clothing etc.
Sims3 is a tad boring because I like my sims to have fun and socialise (Nightlife, Bon Voyage, Freetime and Apartment Life) and I can't create my own neighbourhoods yet. Consequently I play Sims2 more than Sims3.

I appreciate it is early days for Sims3 so maybe my opinion will change over time.

What do you mean miss? What's stopping you from playing the Sims 2?

Its very doubtful that they'll make more sims 2 EPs seeing as its likely that most of the TS2 players have been converted to TS3 so they're gonna pour all of their staff into creating new stuff for TS3

Ah, I see what you mean. Wel, even thought the Sims 2 won't have anything new on it, it's still a fun game to play.

I have Sims 3 but currently I do prefer Sims 2. I think it is mainly because there are so few items in the Sims 3 base game as there aren't any expansions to add to it yet. Whereas, I have several Sims 2 expansions so there are lots of good items which I like and have got used to using.

True. I'm sure that the future packs will have some awesome stuff for the Sims 3. Also, we are all used to the Sims 2 and I thnink we all fall back to it. lol

I remember when TS2 came out how little stuff there was on it, so I decided to wait until there are a few EPs for TS3 before buying it. I nearly gave in last week though, very tempted to buy it when I passed Game.

Is there still just the base game, or is there an EP as well now - I've lost touch?

I still use Sims 2 for building because there are things I prefer on there - even though there probably will not be anymore Sims 2 EPs, at least you can still get custom content on the internet for it?!

I still play the sims 2 nearly every day im completely addicted to it! I dont see why Id want to switch, theres so much i have still got to discover about the sims 2 even though ive been playing it since it came out - each expansion pack offers a different challenge and im completely contented with how ive got my own little neighbourhood set up and my little story lines going on.

lol. I know the feeling. So much that you want to keep playing that you have worked so hard on. ^_^

also, i dont think the sims 3 offers as much new gameplay as the sims 2 did compared to the sims 1, or is there actually alot more to sims 3?

There's loads to do on The Sims 3, s'a great game. But it doesn't come close to the Sims 2 + EPs + Stuff Packs for overall content, and it won't for a good long while yet. I play 'em both pretty evenly, but I prefer TS2. Heh.

Default Well?

The question is a bit silly really its not like the Sims2 is banned, you can still play it so why miss it its your choice if you want to go on the sims 2 or the sims 3, or both.
The sims 2 has good points which i think are graphics, and bad points which I think are the lack of freedom you get in the sims 2.
Also its the same with the Sims 3 the good points are how much freedom you get and the custom wheel where you can change the designs and the uploader and downloader which is MUCH better then the sims 2.
Also again there is down sides to the Sims 3 and I think that is the grapics because the graphics on the Sims 2 seem more realistic then the Sims 3, because the sims 3 graphics are more cartoon like.
Also the baby stage in the sims 2 the new born babys arnt wrapped up and I think that makes it more realistic, but in the sims 3 the newborn babys are wrapped up.

So I think there is no need to miss the sims 2, even though the sims3 has came out I dont think the Sims 2 will ever die down.

But thats just my opinion...........

Uninstalled Sims 3. ]

Maybe if my laptop had been better at running it but it was just so slow and sims aged really slowly!!
