Sims 2 Lot Crashing

Hi all,

I've got a great Sim trapped in her lot and need help!

I sent my sim to a community lot - no problem. Then she got in her car to go back home. When the game was loading her home, it crashed. Now when I view the community I see her house with her car on the road outside (when it should, of course, be on the driveway).

I can't load the house - the game crashes.
I can't package the lot to a file - the game crashes.
I can't move her out of the house - the game tells me I need to visit the lot first.
I can move the lot to the bin, but when I put it back I have the same problems as before.
I also can't play one of her friends, invite her over and then have her move in - I moved the lot to the bin so she has no friends.

I'm not using any unofficial custom content or cheat codes and all of my other lots are fine.

So... in a word - HELP!

Any solutions would be hugely appreciated!

Welcome to the forums!

Other than Nightlife, I'm not sure from your post which other expansion packs that you have. There were problems with the expansion pack Freetime when sims visited community lots, that the game crashed.

Is your game patched up to date?
The cheats and hints thread on the forum has a section on frequently asked questions about patches, which you can download. Hopefully this may resolve your problem.

The only other alternatives I can think of, is to place your lot in another location within the neighbourhood and try to load it or try to place the lot in another neighbourhood?

FYI I have all of the expansion packs and the following stuff packs: Family Fun; Glamour Life; Teen Style; Kitchen & Bathroom; Ikea; and Mansion & Garden.

I ought to have put that in my original question really!
