Default can this happen?

right my sim lady had a baby and then straight after got pregnant again ( i wanted to see if she had it in her ) and i had the music and she couldnt try again, and threw up a couple of times. then she went like this and her comfort level went all the way down. I thought she'd misscarried!!!! (she didnt cause she is in the last stage now)

What happened and can sims even misscarry???

Not unless you have some mod or hack installed that would allow it.

Sometimes Sims experience pregnancy in different ways although I assumed that was down to the Sim rather than the pregnancy. I would get her as much rest as possible and see how things turn out...and showing us pictures hopefully

One of the families I set up was of my friends who have 2 kids, but I wanted the age gap so started them off with their son as a toddler then got them to try for a baby so they could have their daughter as well. However, although the mum kept throwing up and her motives dropping more quickly and refusing to leave the home lot (she ended up having to quit her job) she never gave birth, or even gained a bump! And they couldn't try again cos the option was no longer available, just as if she was pregnant!

Then suddenly one day, after their son had been a teen for a while, she got up in the middle of the night and had a baby girl! I was shocked cos I had seriously given up hope of it ever happening! I texted my friend and congratulated her on it lol

When they hold they're tummies like that and the comfort goes down they're just having a bit of sickness, mine do it all the time. Like someone else said, they're all different. If she'd just had a baby too, I guess she wasn't exactly at peak to begin with x

Gee that is strange! Perhaps the game just glitched or the woman had one of those trademark sim moodswings

I am pleased to report that my sim mommy has sucessfuly raised a hard working, hansome teenage boy named Prince. The baby girl she was pregnant with there, Paris, has grown into a troublsome heartbreaker obssed with losing weight. Mummy is very well and is still sleeping around!

That is just an update i thought you would all like and yes i am a huge Michael Jackson fan

That's great! Have you any photos of them that you could upload on the Picture thread?
Just wanted to add that my sims only have morning sickness in the first trimister/day... before it starts showing... is this the case with everyone else?

Mine too - my sims seem to be sick on the first day when they don't know whether they are pregnant or not! Occasionally one of them isn't and I think it is because they had several body skills but not absolutely sure?

Thereafter though I find pregnant sims needs fall much quicker than any other sim - easily tired, always hungry etc so I try and let them have a happy pregnancy - just like Dina, who was upstairs painting when she discovered she was!

Yeah same here. I think it only happens for the first day of the pregnancy, but is lessened a lot if the Sim has high or max body skill and max fitness. They need less food, anyway, which is probably why.

I never could work out how to avoid it, some Sims don't get it at all, whilst others have a terrible time. I have noticed it's less likely when the female initiates the "Try For Baby", you certainly don't get that bubble with the question mark and dummy when they have. When the male initiates "Try For Baby" the female seems to be confused by the whole thing and it repeats the dizzy or swallowing sick animations more often. Like: "Am I pregnant?"

My sims are just like Dina, Ladysimplayer. I just thought it is weird that they always develop the fear of throwing up in their second trimister... so I assumed that maybe they can still get sick afterwards??
Interesting observation Recludere, thinking about it, it's the same case with me. When the male initiates try for baby my sim tends to throw up

I tend to choose the sim that has gold or platinum status when using the "Try for Baby" option as it is more likely to happen.

In this instance, I'm sure Mortimer had platinum status so I think I had chosen him to "Try for Baby" (before he pops his clogs.) which would ring true with what Recludere is stating.

When Cassandra got pregnant, she was too busy catching Don cheating and divorcing him - I don't think she was even sick but I know she was the one tried for a baby!
