Can some one tell me what is this (conflict with emulation software) & (failed to enumerate any direct x 9 compatiable graphics adapters in this system) I have a windows vista directx10 so why I have this problem? I have all sims 2 packs.

I installed IKEA Stuff yesterday, and I once again got the "Conflict with Emulation Software Detected" message. To resolve this issue, I simply followed the steps for when I received this message whilst trying to use FreeTime. This then caused the game to be incredibly sluggish on the first run, so I restarted the game, and then it was fine
![]() Hope this works for you guys too! (Instructions are earlier on in post) |

I have only read the first post but the first thing that comes to mind is what happened with mine.
Go to start > run > type in %temp% and delete all the files and folders in that folder that it brings up. Worked for me. Also try deleting groups.cache from your EA game folder situated in your my documents folder. |

![]() Ok! I emailed the SecuRom website and they sent me this response -Hello. Thank you for your email. Please download a new "sims2ep6.exe" from the link below. I would appreciate it if you could rename your current one to "C:/Program Files/EA GAMES/The Sims 2 Bon Voyage/TSBin/sims2ep6.exe.OLD", extract the downloaded file into the application path mentioned and start the new application. The link for the new file is: http://www.securom.com/support/custo...9/Sims2EP6.zip If the problem persists, please send another analysis file of the latest executable to us. If you have any further questions feel free to contact us. Best regards, SecuROM Support Team SecuROM on the web: SecuROM or via e-mail: support@securom.com It's basically the same fix for the one I quoted, but it's for Bon Voyage!! So the game is now working! Just make sure you remove your old desktop shortcut and make a new one from the new file!!![]() Happy Simming!!

Hi Lauren,
I have fixed the problem with patience and the above help from ea customer support threads. thanks for the reply though. I dont believe closing any programs containing emulation software solves this problem i believe it to be a conflict with windows vista (should the problem arise on vista operating systems) you need the "patch" from SecuRom to override built in windows copyright protection! So i feel we all need to be blaming microsoft for there unloyalty to paying legal customers who actually purchase vista..... There steps to protect copyright has indeed gone a tad too far!!! |

It's awesome that SecuROM can fix this problem
![]() But does any of you have the link from securom to fix this problem for AL? ![]() Because I don't think it will go away if I install the .zip files that are ment for Bon Voyage or FreeTime.. |

You need the exact DL for the ep your having bother with, mine was EP7 which is ikea home stuff... yours is EP2 so you would need to find the DL for that EP (i'm not too sure which EP2 is though hmmm)
