I wish I could go, but I live in Scotland and I'm only 13. I hope there is some Sims fan event sometime in Scotland for my age group. I've also got school on the 14th so it would have to be at the weekend too.

Were looking at a 10:00am-10:30am start. Trains can be a pain, but best way to get to us is get to waterloo station then take a train to woking (cant remember which one it is, but woking is the 1st/2nd stop and onnly takes about 25 minutes).

This is definitely the best way (speaking from experience) and the trains to Woking from Waterloo are very frequent. As Baker said, for most trains it is the first or second stop, although there is one which I think has Woking as the fourth or fifth stop.

Hmm, I am looking to go by train too and I thought that the Chertsey station seemed closer to the fancy building

I think the train journey ends up being quite a lot longer if going to Chertsey from Waterloo, and can mean having to get two different trains. It's quite a lot quicker and easier to go to Woking station and get a taxi from there.

Should be fine, its an all day event so you would only miss a little bit of the producer talk (providing it even starts on time...).

Nice of you to pick a day that I am sitting an exam.

Also a day smack in the middle of study leave.

Just a question ~ Isn't it better that you host these sorts of events while the majority of us aren't tied up with education/work and other restrictive what not?

Such as half term holidays?

I'd be happy to make my way to Surrey for the day with a friend or two. However, considering the fact I'm sitting an exam on that very day, also being on study leave; I feel a bit dissapointed.

And considering that most people would have returned to work/school/college very recently, I'd imagine that lots of other people will be feeling the same way.

Unless it was your plan to have as small an amout of people attend. Then fair enough. .

Unfortunately there are lots of factors to consider when doing these community days, as you say its a time when people are returning to work....same situation for us. We couldnt hold it during Christmas holidays. We also have to find times that fit the producers, as they are based in America its hard getting a best fit.

Also release schedules have to be considered, we do it to give as many people as we can a sneak preview of the game. Thats press, fan sites, community members, etc. So unfortunately we would never be able to get a time that is perfect for all. (The last one we held was during summer holidays, where most people were away on vacation)

There will be other ones, and hopefully they will be at times other people can attend

I'd say it was better when only fansite owners were invited.

I'm not one to mingle with the riff-raff.
